    "Not the best of her...???" Someone actually said this. Jesus. They don't want enough! Netrebko's voice has made it to way beyond simply natural talent to a magificent sophisticated responsive instrument an orchestra with the BEST instruments can exploit to the max. She's brilliant.

    I have a question is it morientem or moriendo? can someone please clarify im going nuts...I mean which one is correct I know she sings morientem...but in the original text says moriendo

    • @zralokvemigraci
      @zralokvemigraci 7 лет назад +6

      Truth is that it varies. But specifically in Pergolesi's work the text really does say "morientem".

      @@zralokvemigraci I don't think so, this is not written in Italian, but in Latin.

      @@zralokvemigraci the text is in Latin, it should be morientem, as written in the score

    • @zralokvemigraci
      @zralokvemigraci 4 года назад +1

      @@albertomarcantonio3179 I agree, and I was looking into an old print from 1749 saying morientem. I was only saying that for some reason which I don't really understand you can find both versions of this word in this and other settings od Stabat Mater. It's certainly strange when most of the educated people probably knew Latin very well.

    She doesn't sound Wagnerian to me. She is just someone who knows how to use her whole body to sing, and not just her mouth :) She also sounds as if she believes in the words - the translation of the Latin words I am sure you all know but to remind you is: She beheld her tender Child, Saw Him hang in desolation, Till His spirit forth He sent. You can't sing about losing your son through execution with no emotion!!

      hey maybe you can answer my question, is it correct to say moriendo or morientem? she says morientem when in the original text says moriendo? which one is correct? morientem means death moriendo means dying...

    Listen to Mirella Freni singing it for examle, she has a right approach to this music, she understands different styles of music and knows how to sound different, she really feels it. Anna has the same sound in russian, italian, german music and this is boring.

    I'd be more concerned about the dress she had on in the middle of November in Dresden :)

    Not the best of her, but she showed emotions in her singing, and I really respect that.

    Jenson, find my website and write through that if you want - my email is there! All I'll say here is that no support is bad technique. If the conductor doesn't like your singing, then don't do the concert -simple! You always sing with your sound, not someone else's or a manufactured, generic sound.
