Putting brushes on the other side also helps with extra cleaning in winter months. We've tried all the different trommel screens and we have found that the EDGE TRT622 is the best one. Its bitchin - track mounted, radial fines conveyor, radio remote. Cool video by the way!
Trommel it up!! A yard I get my screened soil from here in SE Michigan has a trommel setup and most of the time it’s really nice soil.. every now and then there’s a lot of rocks/pebbles
Trommel it up! Watching these screeners in action is really awesome. Especially seeing that remote and how you can control everything from the loader. Cool stuff man!
I like the videos ,,enjoy watching them ,,,power screen is the way to go ,, alot more mobile with having tracks no truck needed .... but for this video I will say TROMMEL IT UP!!! And that old truck matches the power screen
Trommell it up....tough choice, lots to consider price, output of machine, serviceability quality of finished product( especially when your customers expect the quality of "black gold" soil they're getting now from you) I like the fact the one in today's vid is Canadian made too. Good luck!
i have a buddy who has the same one except he just uses it for big site jobs mainly, but he also makes soil for his own projects and all he does is wet material, I've used his soil in the past with no complaints
i did some gravel crushing for a year i liked it a bit of a bigger scale setup but same thing the company did have a power screen decent machine love your videos my guy keep it up!
For people that want to get into the business of screening soil there is always the skid steer bucket that spins to separate the rocks/roots from the soil. The larger the equipment generally the faster you can process stuff to a point but each type has its own limits like can you change the sizing and how long dose that take or max size but grizzly bars generally solve that already. And yes I know there are other options like the excavator bucket that has a vibrator motor to shake out the fines but the skid steer is more of an entry level option that lets you process and pile where you want it.
Hey Taylor, It’s Josh. The guy who bought rejects from you. I ran a McCloskey R230 deck screener and 638 Trommel for a company previously. I prefer the rejects from the deck screener as they are much nicer to work with. However the Trommel gives you a much better product I find. One thing to note : Once it rains, stop the Trommel as the rubber tires that turn the drum can slip very easily and then your stuck shoveling all the material out of it.... trust me it’s not fun lol Trommel it up buddy keep hustling!
Trommel it up! We are also looking to update a Screen plant. Have had a 516 since ‘03 has 5,500 hrs on it. I think I would like to go to a deck screen to be able to run the Oversize back through with out running the +4 which is mostly rock.
Trommel it up great stuff love that you are showing off these different trimmers I can see where the best decision as to which one must be hard good work as always
To Mel it up! Always wanted to try running a trommel. As a crusher guy who fights with sand screens constantly it’s tempting. Either that or a ball deck
I feed a 733 McCloskey trommel screener with a 972k cat loader they are a beast. Just have to watch the trommel cause when they jam up you either can shake it free or a have long day of shoveling. Trommel it up
Only thing I’ve never liked is the feed hopper being over the clean belt. If anything goes over the edge of the hopper it goes straight on the belt then into the finished product
trommel it up! both appear to be very useful screens, i think i would have a hard decision trying to figure out which system i would run on a daily basis......... but its your choice!! i bet i continue to watch whatever choice you make!!!!!!!!!! always remember: its not my monkeys, not my circus!!!!!!!!! stay safe!!!
I have a few questions. 1. Do/could you guys make other materials with the reject rock? 2. If not, why? Is the product not profitable for the amount of product that could be produced? Cheaper to buy a pit than to run machines? 3. What could be expected when you first buy from a peat pit?
Man, you guys have a big operation going. You may have answered this in another video but do you have a service truck for all your equipment or do you do all your preventative maintenance at your shop?
Damn.. where is fire extinguisher at Ken? XD "Get a closer up on this with the camera." Be safe out their in the site ken make sure you have something to put out little sparks like that in your pickup.
Trommel it up. If you would like pictures of our mclasky and our set up. Feel free to contact me. I can give you the screen size to help your business grow. It has helped our business grow tremendously. Screened yesterday $200k worth of soil in 8 hours.
Business never talk prices. it’s stupid crazy how much things cost. My old company showed me prices and purchases prices so we all knew how much equipment, parts, and material cost BUT!!! He would never showed his revenue income...

I work at Mcloskeys..great company. Awesome people. Just started..but wow...great place to work.
i have a buddy who has the same one except he just uses it for big site jobs mainly, but he also makes soil for his own projects and all he does is wet material, I've used his soil in the past with no complaints
One the best screens I've operated that trommel I'm operating a evoquip colt 600 at the moment good for wet soil aswel
Change the first 2 screens to 1/2” and the last one to 3/8”. You’ll have nicer material
i did some gravel crushing for a year i liked it a bit of a bigger scale setup but same thing the company did have a power screen decent machine love your videos my guy keep it up!
Can't believe its's that dry that a small fire started. Crazy

For Ontario guys I’d recommend looking up RSS trommel screeners for almost size screeners they’re awesome and affordable
Trommel it up. Pretty neat to see and be able to try different machines!
I hate changing cutting edges. It's always such a pain. Great video and awesome new toy!
Only thing I’ve never liked is the feed hopper being over the clean belt. If anything goes over the edge of the hopper it goes straight on the belt then into the finished product

The powerscreen is going to be better for ton per hour but, you don't lose as much topsoil in your tailings with the trommel.
FIRE FIRE - KWC to the fire rescue 😂🔥💦
Tromble it up, real Gold Rush 👌
What country was it made in?
Funny ,powerscreen , McCloskey,Finley ,sanvic ,are all made within 30 mile of each other in northern ireland
Quanto custa em dólares este trommel com tudo completo. Estou interessado em comprar 👍👍👍
Never knew powerscreen was a Irish company. Our sales rep is a short Irish dude. It all makes sense now
Seems like lots of this type of equipment is designed or made in Northern Ireland and I never even realised. Enjoy the Bushmills btw
