Often the rosary is the trellis for my other prayers, so that when I say, “pray for us sinners,” I say a name (and sometimes, ‘me’!). Originally the Lord wanted me to start saying the rosary in this way to pray regularly to forgive various people who are probably never going to ask for forgiveness! Now the Spirit suggests different themes, such as salvation or healing, etc. and often will prompt me with names. It has expanded the circle of people that I pray for tremendously. Once I printed out a list of all the countries in the world. I guess I could work my way through a list of politicians too!

This reminds me of the Carthusian Order. Seldom are lips moving when they pray the Rosary.
