Hi Scott and Julie, love your videos. We own the same size van but in a pop top. You do a lot of off grid camping these days. Would you mind sharing your solar, battery and inverter aetup.
Hey Wayne thanks for the support For the solar we just have 2x160 watt panels that came with the van Batteries are 2x100 amp lithium sphere that also came with the van I had a 2000 watt enerdrive inverter fitted that is connected to all power points This has been working great but with using star link I feel like we could use with more solar we have also been very lucky with the weather I think with a few cloudy days we would struggle so it’s all about how we managed what we use we also have a gas fridge so that makes it easier on the batteries but if I had the choice again I would go a compressor fridge they work so much better not that we have had any trouble so far We also have a 200 amp lithium battery in the car and another 2000 watt enerdrive inverter and have used that to plug the van in and charge it up (like a big generator I guess) One last thing I added and extra dc-dc charger to the van with an Anderson plug connecting to the alternator so I charge the van while driving our longest stint with out plugging in is 20days not that we needed to it just work out that way
@lippyzadventures thanks guys. Very similiar setup to mine, looks like I won't have to spend a fortune if it's working well for you. Hoping to follow your steps next year 😁
No worries if you have any questions we would be glad to help where we can good luck on next year you won’t regret it one thing I say is there is never the perfect time to do it just do it
