  • CHURCH ON THE BLOOD - MURDER OF THE ROMANOVS. YEKATERINBURG RUSSIA
    Today we explored Yekaterinburg on foot. This City is a great place to walk around as you simply follow the red line which takes in all the main tourist attractions. We visited the Church on the Blood, Sevastyanov House where we found some cute bunnies playing in the snow outside :) and found a great place for food and wine!

    TKT tip: For this city get some sort of travel guide for at least one day of your trip, they’re so helpful and the translation will help you to understand and navigate the rest of your time there.

    A British couple from near London, England. We got married in 2018 and decided to fulfil a life-long dream and travel the World together for a year for our Honeymoon. We saved money and travel points, quit our jobs, rented our house out and boarded a one way flight. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends, family and anyone who plans to travel to the places we’re visiting. We leave TKT tips/facts on all our vlogs and blogs to give information to travellers that we wish we’d had before visiting. We hope you find our content useful :)

    The palace is beautiful, I like the trees with the red ribbons and the cute bunnies 🐰 how cool is the ice slide! When Craig says it’s cold, then you must be absolutely freezing Kirsty 🙈🤣

      Hangry Abroad initially thought they were wild but then noticed a little girl & photographers! Something magical about seeing a palace, rose trees & roaming bunnies in the snow 👌🏼 The history is so interesting & complex...definitely visit in the warmer season 🥶😆

    That beginning scene with the football stadium was so relatable so us 😂 I would have been pretty excited, Rachel... not so much haha. Looks like a cool town! Very interested to hear how you decided to travel to Yekaterinburg! I haven’t heard much about it until your video. It was cool to learn about it!

    • @TideKnotTravellers
      @TideKnotTravellers  4 года назад

      The Map Pinners yeh we had to walk about 15-20 minutes out of town to get to that football stadium too!😅 we both really wanted to see Yekaterinburg, it’s one of the stops on the Trans Siberian railway which we were supposed to be getting across Russia into China but Covid19 put a stop to that. Kirsty studied Russian history and so as we had already applied for Russian visas we wanted to make the most of them and flew to Yekaterinburg first before making our way back across to St. Petersburg and Moscow. Yekaterinburg holds a lot of history and is a great city!

    You guys should have shown the inside of the church. Lenin got the tsar family eliminated as he and Bolsheviks (the Red Army) feared that the White Army fighting against them would get the family freed.
