LOVE - LOVE - LOVE !! I SO LOVE THIS KIND OF STUFF. THAT GLASS FRAME WITH THE VERSE & DECAL WAS SIMPLY GORGEOUS. YOU ARE ROCKING IT!! WISH I COULD WORK WITH YOU. I KNOW YOU HAD TO BE AN AWESOME TEACHER!!
I just love your ideas…may I give you a hint….when you sew pillows…cut the corners straight across at the v …you will have PERFECT corners every time…..hugs carolyn from Columbus ga
Sherry, first off don’t worry about the two items I ordered recently. They arrived perfectly and the postage was no problem at all. I love handkerchief crafts. I framed two my cousin’s handkerchiefs and using acid free glue attached her picture. I then took the pin back off one of her pins and glued that in. After putting it in a frame I took another pin and decorated the top left corner. I gave the frame to her husband as a memory box when she passed. When he passed away, I placed the frame in his hands to take on his journey to meet her again. Thanks for all your beautiful crafting today. See you next week!
I have collected vintage linens for years, I'm just finishing a hankie wreath using my moms hankies. I was tired of having them sit in a drawer. Love all of your ideas but the favorite is the top of of the wine box and the covered pumpkin. I'll be jumping over to Rachael's site to see her ideas. I do follow her. Thanks for all your ideas.
This is absolutely ironic that I'm watching this video tonite. I went to my senior center today and came home with 3 bags of goodies. In among my things was vintage doilies, patchwork pillow shams that are humongous and some ticking fabric. You have so many projects here that are perfect. I love the pin cushion and watch band. The earrings are beautiful and so sre all the other projects. You are amazing and I love watching you. You inspire me to the point that I literally jump up to gather supplies and start one of the projects. As always thank you and look foward to the next one.
The fabrics are so nostalgic and remind me of my mother and grandmothers. I might have to go on a treasure hunt in my house to see if I have any stashed away. Thank you for sharing your ideas and giving us so much inspiration
Well I have never seen so many beautiful items done and so simple. I really am inspired by the first piece. My mother embroidered a table cloth and left it to me. Sadly it got stained in a clear area of the cloth. I have been wondering what to do with it and how to show her work. You have given me an idea on how to use it to honour her memory and show off her skill. God bless you
I love watching Rachel and was happy to see you promoting each other’s channels! Especially regarding one of my favorite things- vintage linens and textiles! 💗 6:29
Thanks for some lovely ideas! I especially liked the pumpkin with the little bird holding the thread. And yes, I discovered Rachel's channel a few weeks ago, and am a fan.:)
I loved the needlepoint in the refreshed round frame! That was a great idea with the wee frame, by adding fabric & filling for a pin cushion! And I have to say I liked the framed lace fabric in a frame. Oh goodness the frame with shelf attached was delightful. Thank you 🩵
These were great projects! I guess my favorite IF I had to pick one would be the pumpkin - so charming! Thanks for all the ideas. I’m always thinking about ways I could use vintage linens and doilies.
Sherry, loved the little pumpkin that you recovered in the crewl or embroidery! The curly was so cute with the pretty bird with the string in its mouth! Adorable❤❤❤
It was later for me to get to watch today but Oh, Boy! What a treat! These things are near and dear to my heart. I have framed some similar things over the years but you surpassed “just framing” something. Such beautiful treasures! Joy, joy, joy! Thank you Sweet Sherry!
I planned to upgrade a canvas tote bag as you did. I have to check my kitchen towel drawer for an old tea towel. Most are very faded but have good memories. Thanks, too, for the idea of framing crocheted lace as a bulletin board. I was reading a quilting group post today about making lap robes. I have found a new charity project!
I have never been so inspired to get out all my pieces and start using them in unique ways! You two are my favorite inspiration for a reason and this showcases it perfectly!❤️
Oh Sherry! You did it again. As I watched each project I thought that was my favorite. But then there was another one, and another one. I just loved them all!❤
SHERRY!!!!! I just CAN’T EVEN! 😀 (as they now say) And You’ve once again OUTDONE yourself!! Very enjoyable and inspiring to watch. I’m really loving your 3D (4D?) needlepoint/flower garden themed wall hanging - And your pumpkiny pumpkin with the vintage fabric, vintage spool and bird was just TOO MUCH beauty and whimsy and nostalgia to handle! What are you trying to do to me, here?!!😍 🌺 🐦
More genius ideas and inspiration! I loved how vintage (50's) and "English cottage style" the tapestry in the green round frame turned out. I thought all the projects were beautiful 😍
We use to make the pincushion using canning jar lids. It was always a good Girl Scout project. I enjoyed the framed handkerchief project. I have always wanted to do something similar with a baby dress my grandmother made for me and my girls wore.
Quilted clock is very cute! When using precious fabrics, normal cardboard can damage them as it isn’t acid free. Add a piece of acid free paper in between fabric and cardboard mount to protect heirloom treasured fabrics❤️✨
Same here and when i saw the title I couldn’t watch fast enough! I have accumulated so much fabric, both vintage & non vintage, & this video was worth the watch.
OK, oh my goodness..this is beyond inspiring! I see homemade gifts that have deep meaning, home decor that brings a smile of remembrance and a bright spot of handcrafted beauty to simple items when I see this video. You never will know how much your God given gift inspires others Sherrie!
OH MY GIDDY AUNT!!! These ideas are so amazing! I have scads of beautiful old fabrics, old jewelry, frames, buttons ♥️ you always get my creative juices flowing Sherri. These are fabulous. (Like books, it's taken awhile to allow myself to entertain cutting these family vintage & thrift store fabrics up 😂)
Great ideas. Although ive done several of those myself years ago. I have to tell you the needlepoint pumpkin is just the most clever idea ever and its beautiful. I just love it. You Rock Sherry.
I finally can display my beautiful vintage tablecloths and linen napkins from my mother-in-law and Grandma. They were stained and discolored and just folded up in a drawer. They are gorgeous and now I could display them proudly in my home and pay homage to them. Thank you so so much for your beautiful inspiration!❤
I have a drawer full of clothing items from family members who have passed away, ( sisters prom dress, Dads favorite flannel, and Moms vintage aprons, etc ) you have given me some great ideas and the inspiration to make some decor items for my home.
Oh, I am so glad that I could share some ideas with you! I really like the idea of using fabrics that remind us of loved ones. I wish I still had my old prom dresses!
Wow, each transformation was better than the last--all of them are just so darling! I have some old handkerchiefs from my grandmother and from my husband’s grandmother. I need to pull them out and see what I can come up with. Thanks so much for the inspiration….🥰 ❤️-Brenda
Not sure what is happening but still find all of these projects fabulous. The needlepoint in the clock frame is simply stunning and the needlepoint pumpkin with the bird is darling.
Loved these ideas! A few years ago I made earrings for my mother, sister, her daughters, my daughter, and myself from material from my mother's wedding dress. Everyone loved them
Oh, I love that idea! I don’t know what happened to my mother’s wedding dress. She had it for years, but she must have gotten rid of it at some point. Having earrings would be such a lovely reminder.
Thank you so much for your beautiful projects. I enjoyed both your channel and Rachel’s for the first time today. Of course I had to subscribe to both channels. Your projects have inspired me to use the needlework I made as well as my Mother’s and Grandmother’s pieces. Those pieces have been stored for decades since I didn’t know what to do with them.
Your mother would be proud of your creativity. I really like the handkerchief projects. In the 1960s, my mother worked at a dry cleaners. Hankies were often left in clothing and couldn't be returned. Mom had quite a collection of hankies. I look forward to checking out your friend's channel.
What fun ideas. I have lots of vintage fabrics that I have such a hard time parting. Love the pin cushion and the quilt-covered box. A large box would make a great floor storage container that could double as a footstool. Thank you for the great ideas, I look forward to your videos each week.
Love the red white women's hankie framed with IOD transfers! Also the calender pillows, I have so many calenders I can now put to good use other than tea towels!
Sooo glad to see your video. The fabrics and ideas are right up my alley. I was always afraid to cut them up! But now I am stealing at least 2-3 of your projects! Thanks so much. And I hope that wasn't "Irish" lace you cut up!😉
I loved this video; I love upcycling vintage material and my sewing skills are still rudimentary! I love making "lumbar" holiday pillows from holiday placemats and coordinating material. I cut crochet motifs from "wounded" dresser scarves, etc. to make doilies/tablecloths for my dollhouses. One lace trimmed hanky even became an awesome canopy for a 4 poster bed with a bit of folding! I think your little linen calendar pillows would also make great balsam pillows. Or embroider a circle around the day of a child's birthday for a unique gift! Or put the calendar side on the "inside" of the pillow for a plainer backing. Lots of inspiration for us; thank you!
I loved the frame with the Handkerchief, that is such a sweet, beautiful look. Could also make a sweet Gift . I've been watching Miss Rachel for quite some time, she is a joy ,and I love seeing the Journey of thier Home being Re- done ,and she has such a sweet, genuine demeanor.
I love how you re-did the bag your husband brought home, and also the red handkerchief. I have several hankies. I saw a valance made out of some that I often thought about trying. I have been a follower of Rachel (and her husband Matt) forever. It’s nice you both did a collaboration. ❤️
These were wonderful ideas Sherry. It was hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I would pick the vintage pumpkin with the bird with the thread in his mouth. (I did use the thread in the bird's mouth one time in a Spring project after seeing you use it.) I have to try that one for sure! I have some vintage fabrics and love them. Thanks for some great ideas on how to use them. PS: I have seen some of Rachel's videos and will definitely check this one out!
Sherry I wait for your videos to come and show me what interesting projects you make today. You never disappoint I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. I would have loved for you to have been a teacher of my child. She would have learned in such an inspiring way. Thank you for showing us your projects ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
I'm really liking the handkerchief project because my great grandparents used to use them. I think there are so many beautiful handkerchiefs to choose from. The poem was a nice touch 😊👍. I also like the calendar pillow idea! You are so talented!!
That pumpkin with the thread in the bird's mouth stole my heart. I have some fabric in mind, I need to do this. I also love the memo board and pincushion. I can't wait to finish moving so I can get my craft space set up and start creating! Such great ideas. I appreciate how you share your viewers with other crafters, but worry about all the toxic stuff you use. Please use proper ventilation, both for your health and your viewers - so you continue for many years to come. Oooh, the earrings!
Thanks for reminding me how fun vintage calendar tea towels are. I used to cover shoe boxes with them in the 70s. I will make some little pillows with the next one I find! You also gave me some great ideas on using old fabric pieces! Great video as always!! ❤
This video could not have been better timed! I just found several handkerchiefs that belonged to my grandparents. I still think of them nearly every day and wanted to create a way to display them in my office/craft room. Thank you so much for the inspiration. ❤
I love every single piece of ART you made today! That’s exactly what it is! It takes someone with true talent, a heart for design, and love for vintage to create pieces of art with such beauty. I love that your craft channel is different than everyone else’s and that you don’t follow the trend, you set the trend!! Thank you for sharing your inspiration with us. You get my creative juices flowing for sure!! Be blessed, and have a beautiful evening!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I thought all your projects were very classy and well thought out. Great tutorials. You did a fabulous job of explaining the process. I think my favorite was the red hankie and the vinyl word cutouts. That turned out so pretty. But they were all pretty unique and interesting.
AMAZING seems like it is not enough. Again I am amazed at your creative skills. I don’t think anyone is as unique and creative as you. WOW what a great collection of ideas to save our family fabric heirlooms. Thanks for sharing with us.
You are so gifted. I could watch your videos endlessly. 😊
Thanks so much 😊
LOVE - LOVE - LOVE !! I SO LOVE THIS KIND OF STUFF. THAT GLASS FRAME WITH THE VERSE & DECAL WAS SIMPLY GORGEOUS. YOU ARE ROCKING IT!! WISH I COULD WORK WITH YOU. I KNOW YOU HAD TO BE AN AWESOME TEACHER!!

Thank you, Carolyn! I feel like my mom may have taught me that a long time ago, but I forgot. Thanks for the reminder!
The detail in the framed rose handkerchief is beautiful
Okay, now I have no excuse to having unused lace and fabric. Thanks for the inspiration!
Very inspiring! I like the stone cottage channel, too!

Thank you! 😊
Love the little framed pin cushion!😍

That is so odd that they weren’t allowed to return them! I bet she did have a wonderful collection!😀
I loved everything you did tonight. Especially the fabric covered projects. Again your brain must smoke you are so smart.
Oh, thank you! You are so very sweet, Lynda!
Thank You Sherry! They are all so adorable. So many sweet things. Take care and God Bless. Rebekah
Good evening, Rebekah! Thank you! Hope you are doing well and having a lovely summer!
What fun ideas. I have lots of vintage fabrics that I have such a hard time parting. Love the pin cushion and the quilt-covered box. A large box would make a great floor storage container that could double as a footstool. Thank you for the great ideas, I look forward to your videos each week.
I absolutely love the framed handkerchief with the IOD roses and added to the frame. What a wonderful idea.
Thank you so much!
All these projects were adorable and beautiful💕. You are so creative no matter what medium you are using. Thanks for all the ideas😊
Thank you so much! You are so very kind, Marilyn!

Great inspiration Sherry, loved everything, especially the needlepoint in the clock round, I want to make one of those.
Tiny frame pin cushion...delightful 😊
