Clever! Beautiful! Creative! Original! and so on and so on! You knocked it out of the park once again Sherry!!
Wow! How beautiful did your fabric creations turn out?! You are one of those people who knows how to make a house a home 🏡!😂!
Okay, now I have no excuse to having unused lace and fabric. Thanks for the inspiration!
Especially loved the pumpkin and small pincushion .I want to thank you for bringing back the crafter in me that I had lost last year after moving into a condo against my will located in the downtown core of a lovely tourist town( which I hate ) after living in a century old house situated on a country road .❤ God bless You and keep those creative juices flowing 😊
Oh Sherry! You did it again. As I watched each project I thought that was my favorite. But then there was another one, and another one. I just loved them all!❤
Oh thank you, Donna!
I can't sew the more no sew ideas 💡 would greatly appreciate thank you 😉
Cute piece, Sherry. Now jumping over to see what Rachel is doing today.
Loved the needlepoint pumpkin and bird. Cutest thing ever!
Oh, thank you!
Spectacular. You continue to blow my mind with your creativity.
Oh my goodness! The red and white hanky is SO beautiful! Love the tote bag as well.
Thank you so much!
Sherry, first off don’t worry about the two items I ordered recently. They arrived perfectly and the postage was no problem at all. I love handkerchief crafts. I framed two my cousin’s handkerchiefs and using acid free glue attached her picture. I then took the pin back off one of her pins and glued that in. After putting it in a frame I took another pin and decorated the top left corner. I gave the frame to her husband as a memory box when she passed. When he passed away, I placed the frame in his hands to take on his journey to meet her again. Thanks for all your beautiful crafting today. See you next week!
I actually have the fabric you put in the little frame.
So many cute ideas! ♥️♥️
Oh my word….that pumpkin!!! Really a cute idea!!!!
I’m already a fan of Rachel’s channel. Love her decorating videos.
Delightful ideas for using fabric. I especially loved the fabric pumpkin, the mini pillows and the framed handkerchief!
I love the needlepoint in the clock frame. Just beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Love the little framed pin cushion!😍
SHERRY!!!!!
I just CAN’T EVEN! 😀 (as they now say)
And You’ve once again OUTDONE yourself!!
Very enjoyable and inspiring to watch.
I’m really loving your 3D (4D?) needlepoint/flower garden themed wall hanging - And your pumpkiny pumpkin with the vintage fabric, vintage spool and bird was just TOO MUCH beauty and whimsy and nostalgia to handle! What are you trying to do to me, here?!!😍 🌺 🐦
Your grandmothers's handkerchief framed with florals is beautiful ❤️
I think you are just magical! Turning all those discarded items into amazing pieces! Just appreciate you so much!!!!!
Hi, Sherry. Thank you. I never thought about making pillows out those calendars. Very nice.
You are so welcome! I’m so glad I could share this idea with you!
I’m unable to choose a favorite because they’re all so beautiful.
Oh, thank you, Vickie!
The round clock frame and needlepoint is stunning. I love watchin Stone Cottage Home.
Sherry, loved the little pumpkin that you recovered in the crewl or embroidery! The curly was so cute with the pretty bird with the string in its mouth! Adorable❤❤❤
They are all so cute. That was so clever that the bird had the thread in its mouth.
Oh, thank you!
The bird with the thread in it’s beak is so adorable & my favorite!!
Oh, thank you, Sarah! 😊
I love watching Rachel and was happy to see you promoting each other’s channels! Especially regarding one of my favorite things- vintage linens and textiles! 💗 6:29
That quilt clock was DOPE
It would would be great in a sewing room!
The fabrics are so nostalgic and remind me of my mother and grandmothers. I might have to go on a treasure hunt in my house to see if I have any stashed away. Thank you for sharing your ideas and giving us so much inspiration
You are so welcome, Mimzy! I’m so glad that I could share some ideas with you!
This is absolutely ironic that I'm watching this video tonite. I went to my senior center today and came home with 3 bags of goodies. In among my things was vintage doilies, patchwork pillow shams that are humongous and some ticking fabric. You have so many projects here that are perfect. I love the pin cushion and watch band. The earrings are beautiful and so sre all the other projects. You are amazing and I love watching you. You inspire me to the point that I literally jump up to gather supplies and start one of the projects. As always thank you and look foward to the next one.
Oh, you are so sweet, Doris! That is ironic that you just came home with some beautiful fabrics. I’m sure you’ll make some lovely things!
Attaching the thread to the bird is Awesome!
Your talent amazes me! Love all of your projects!
Oh, thank you!
The pincushion ... my fave! The only thing the pumpkin was missing was a poem.
OH MY GIDDY AUNT!!! These ideas are so amazing! I have scads of beautiful old fabrics, old jewelry, frames, buttons ♥️ you always get my creative juices flowing Sherri. These are fabulous. (Like books, it's taken awhile to allow myself to entertain cutting these family vintage & thrift store fabrics up 😂)
No words, Sherrie...you have wonderful, beautiful ideas!!! Your style is catching on with me !!! ❤😊
Sherry this video was just so creative. TY for helping us all see the potential in everyday items. You truly are inspirational.
Oh, thank you so much, Sonya!
The pumpkin is absolutely adorable, love it!!! Such great ideas.
Quilted clock is very cute! When using precious fabrics, normal cardboard can damage them as it isn’t acid free. Add a piece of acid free paper in between fabric and cardboard mount to protect heirloom treasured fabrics❤️✨
Oh, thank you for this tip. This hadn’t even occurred to me. I really appreciate you taking the time to alert me to this!
@@CanterburyCottage You’re very welcome❤️✨
The pin cushion and pumpkin were so simple and so clever! Thank you.
I love the refreshed pumpkin with the bird. Very 🥰
What wonderful ideas for old fabrics. I’ve watched Rachel before. Sherry, I would say,” oh that’s my favorite.” Then again, and again😅. I like them all BUT the needle point pumpkin, needlepoint in the green frame and the quilt top clock blew me away. ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I loved the needlepoint in the refreshed round frame! That was a great idea with the wee frame, by adding fabric & filling for a pin cushion! And I have to say I liked the framed lace fabric in a frame. Oh goodness the frame with shelf attached was delightful. Thank you 🩵
More genius ideas and inspiration! I loved how vintage (50's) and "English cottage style" the tapestry in the green round frame turned out. I thought all the projects were beautiful 😍
Thanks so much, Helen! 😊
Thank you so much for your beautiful projects. I enjoyed both your channel and Rachel’s for the first time today. Of course I had to subscribe to both channels. Your projects have inspired me to use the needlework I made as well as my Mother’s and Grandmother’s pieces. Those pieces have been stored for decades since I didn’t know what to do with them.
Wow, each transformation was better than the last--all of them are just so darling! I have some old handkerchiefs from my grandmother and from my husband’s grandmother. I need to pull them out and see what I can come up with. Thanks so much for the inspiration….🥰
❤️-Brenda
You are so gifted. I could watch your videos endlessly. 😊
Thanks so much 😊
LOVE - LOVE - LOVE !! I SO LOVE THIS KIND OF STUFF. THAT GLASS FRAME WITH THE VERSE & DECAL WAS SIMPLY GORGEOUS. YOU ARE ROCKING IT!! WISH I COULD WORK WITH YOU. I KNOW YOU HAD TO BE AN AWESOME TEACHER!!
I didn't even know I needed this fabric video. You knew. Thank you. ❤
Same here and when i saw the title I couldn’t watch fast enough! I have accumulated so much fabric, both vintage & non vintage, & this video was worth the watch.
You are so welcome! I am so glad you liked it!
The clock frame painted green with the needlepoint is gorgeous! 🤗
Yes! Already a fan of Rachel's! So glad you two are friends!
Great ideas. Although ive done several of those myself years ago. I have to tell you the needlepoint pumpkin is just the most clever idea ever and its beautiful. I just love it. You Rock Sherry.
Thanks for some lovely ideas! I especially liked the pumpkin with the little bird holding the thread. And yes, I discovered Rachel's channel a few weeks ago, and am a fan.:)
I have collected vintage linens for years, I'm just finishing a hankie wreath using my moms hankies. I was tired of having them sit in a drawer. Love all of your ideas but the favorite is the top of of the wine box and the covered pumpkin. I'll be jumping over to Rachael's site to see her ideas. I do follow her. Thanks for all your ideas.
These were great projects! I guess my favorite IF I had to pick one would be the pumpkin - so charming! Thanks for all the ideas. I’m always thinking about ways I could use vintage linens and doilies.
Thanks so much! 😊 Yes, me, too. I want to have these sentimental items out where I can see them everyday.
OK, oh my goodness..this is beyond inspiring! I see homemade gifts that have deep meaning, home decor that brings a smile of remembrance and a bright spot of handcrafted beauty to simple items when I see this video. You never will know how much your God given gift inspires others Sherrie!
Such good ways to preserve memories! ❤ That needlepoint in the round clock frame is exquisite.
It was later for me to get to watch today but Oh, Boy! What a treat! These things are near and dear to my heart. I have framed some similar things over the years but you surpassed “just framing” something. Such beautiful treasures! Joy, joy, joy!
Thank you Sweet Sherry!
You are so welcome! I am so glad that I could share a few ideas with you today.
Sweet pumpkin and bird with thread idea. Love it.
Thank you! 😊
I loved this video tonight...I am a big collector of old fabric and dollies. I have lots of ideas
Thank You Sherry! They are all so adorable. So many sweet things. Take care and God Bless. Rebekah
Good evening, Rebekah! Thank you! Hope you are doing well and having a lovely summer!
Loved all the projects but the pumpkin was my favorite.
I planned to upgrade a canvas tote bag as you did. I have to check my kitchen towel drawer for an old tea towel. Most are very faded but have good memories. Thanks, too, for the idea of framing crocheted lace as a bulletin board. I was reading a quilting group post today about making lap robes. I have found a new charity project!
I love the transfer spilling over onto the frame!
I love every single piece of ART you made today! That’s exactly what it is! It takes someone with true talent, a heart for design, and love for vintage to create pieces of art with such beauty. I love that your craft channel is different than everyone else’s and that you don’t follow the trend, you set the trend!! Thank you for sharing your inspiration with us. You get my creative juices flowing for sure!! Be blessed, and have a beautiful evening!
I finally can display my beautiful vintage tablecloths and linen napkins from my mother-in-law and Grandma. They were stained and discolored and just folded up in a drawer. They are gorgeous and now I could display them proudly in my home and pay homage to them. Thank you so so much for your beautiful inspiration!❤
The detail in the framed rose handkerchief is beautiful
I loved the pumpkin with the bird and the thread in the birds mouth so great ideas thanks for sharing
I absolutely love the framed handkerchief 🌹❤
Not sure what is happening but still find all of these projects fabulous. The needlepoint in the clock frame is simply stunning and the needlepoint pumpkin with the bird is darling.
😅
YES! I LOVED the bird pumpkin!!! Very original! Art at it’s finest!
Hello Sherry. Love this episode on vintage fabrics. Some great tips and ideas. Thank you for the referral to Stone Cottage Home. I am now a fan. Rachel is also so talented. 🤗
Love the bird in the pumpkin 💗
My favorite was the vintage watchband!❤😊
I love all your creations. So beautiful.❤❤❤
Well I have never seen so many beautiful items done and so simple. I really am inspired by the first piece. My mother embroidered a table cloth and left it to me. Sadly it got stained in a clear area of the cloth. I have been wondering what to do with it and how to show her work. You have given me an idea on how to use it to honour her memory and show off her skill.
God bless you
Thank you so much 😊 I am so glad that I could share some ideas with you!
Sherry I wait for your videos to come and show me what interesting projects you make today. You never disappoint I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. I would have loved for you to have been a teacher of my child. She would have learned in such an inspiring way. Thank you for showing us your projects ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
You could also fill the little tea towel pillows with lavender for a little sachet! Or pine needles….
We use to make the pincushion using canning jar lids. It was always a good Girl Scout project. I enjoyed the framed handkerchief project. I have always wanted to do something similar with a baby dress my grandmother made for me and my girls wore.
I have a drawer full of clothing items from family members who have passed away, ( sisters prom dress, Dads favorite flannel, and Moms vintage aprons, etc ) you have given me some great ideas and the inspiration to make some decor items for my home.
Oh, I am so glad that I could share some ideas with you! I really like the idea of using fabrics that remind us of loved ones. I wish I still had my old prom dresses!
Love the pumpkin! I see it's gone and the watch. You are a creating marvel! Thanks much for sharing
The needle point round frame was a favorite, also the lace table cloth was beautiful, the bird pumpkin is my all time favorite… 🌹🌹
Thank you! 😊
That pumpkin covered with needlepoint is so pretty! And that tote bag! I love it!
Oh, thank you!
That hankerchief!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Hello!! This is my 1st video on your channel!! I’m around creative people many times a week, & for the last 30+ years I’ve taken all kinds of creative classes, but you truly really know what it means to be creative, thrifty, & up-cycle what you already have in your house!!
I loved all these amazing ideas!!! Thank you so much for such an inspiring video👍🏻🤗👏🏻👏🏻💕!!
Fabulous ideas! Now all I want to do is craft!!!! Time to go shopping (at yard sales and consignment shops)!!!!
Very inspiring! I like the stone cottage channel, too!
Your mother would be proud of your creativity. I really like the handkerchief projects. In the 1960s, my mother worked at a dry cleaners. Hankies were often left in clothing and couldn't be returned. Mom had quite a collection of hankies.
I look forward to checking out your friend's channel.
That is so odd that they weren’t allowed to return them! I bet she did have a wonderful collection!😀
These are all so lovely and unique, and I really loved the pumpkin and clocks.🎉🎉🎉
love the bird and pumpkin.
I love your craft with all those old materials
I have never been so inspired to get out all my pieces and start using them in unique ways! You two are my favorite inspiration for a reason and this showcases it perfectly!❤️
I watched Rachel's channel and thank you for sharing, I subscribed as her platform is exactly what I am into.
Loved these ideas! A few years ago I made earrings for my mother, sister, her daughters, my daughter, and myself from material from my mother's wedding dress. Everyone loved them
Oh, I love that idea! I don’t know what happened to my mother’s wedding dress. She had it for years, but she must have gotten rid of it at some point. Having earrings would be such a lovely reminder.
Great idea!
Your creativity is amazing! I have to raid my "stash" for new projects! Thanks so much for all the ideas!
You are so welcome! I am so glad that I could share some ideas with you!
The clock frame with needlepoint is stunning!
Oh, thank you, CeCe!😊
AMAZING seems like it is not enough. Again I am amazed at your creative skills. I don’t think anyone is as unique and creative as you. WOW what a great collection of ideas to save our family fabric heirlooms. Thanks for sharing with us.
You could add a piece of COLORED fabric behind your table runner to make it show up better or just to match your decor. I am envisioning dark blue velvet. I have a nice piece with some sun fading along one side, but any color would be stunning. COLOR IS BACK IN STYLE, yippee!!!
All these projects were adorable and beautiful💕. You are so creative no matter what medium you are using. Thanks for all the ideas😊
Thank you so much! You are so very kind, Marilyn!
Oh that clock is SO cool! Tfs genius lady! ❤🎉
You are such an amazing, gifted crafter. I am so amazed at all the wonderful ideas you come up with! ❤
I love Rachel's channel - and I love yours! Two of my absolute favorites!
Those florals are so.pretty. and I like your vases.
