Mate this is incredible, bar far the most beautiful and exciting flat head video I have ever seen, and you’re genuine enthusiasm is second to none. Love watching cheers bruz 😎
Very enjoyable watch that one, early morning is so nice on the water it's the best time of the day. And top marks for what you guys did for the young fellas, its always good to see kids out fishing and I think they may have a new hero.
Man, that creek you were in looks mint, calming for the soul as well as full of fish. Don't have that variety of species here in NZ. Good on you guys for sharing with the young fellas at the end 👍
Hi John I am looking for a new 2-4kg Flathead rod and am considering a Zodias but deciding maybe between the 6ft 8 or 7ft. I noticed you were using one. What are your thoughts on them. Many Thanks Brad
Aussie in South Island NZ, just love your videos, they don't have any estuary fishing of note in SI NZ, no bream, flattie or whiting etc , let alone trevs & jacks, so you can't just check the tides and go to the local sandflats for an afternoon flick, so My Lure Box is my "afternoon flick". Thank You, keep it up
Wow, loved the video as always mate, but did u hear the bait go mental in the background when u were talking lures?? Something went down over your left shoulder talking about the splash prawn lol
Hey mate, I've tried to employ all of your techniques and tips, lures etc for jack fishing the gold coast creek's and I've spent at least 20 hours paddling over the weekend casting at every bit of structure I can find and haven't caught anything. Am I doing something wrong or does this sometimes happen? Feeling a bit deflated tbh lol
Hi Daniel. Thanks for your message. This is the punishment that Jack fishing dishes out. I’ve lived in that exact hurt locker for hours upon hours wondering what the hell is going on, casting my arm off in disbelief and wondering if it was all me. Jack Fishing is the pursuit That will mess with you and then deliver in the harshest way ever that might only last a couple of seconds. Keep casting mate, those couple of seconds are coming and when they do you’ll be so stoked that you kept persisting. It’s like nothing you’ve felt before if this is your first Jack.. The rewards are there in the patterns to some sort of consistency to arrive but it can take a lot of doughnut days sore arms and questioning yourself. Every Jack fisherman on the Goldie knows your pain. Keep at it mate, cast deep and accurate like it’s your last, every cast. That’s how it’ll happen. 💪👊
@@mylurebox thanks for your reply. I'll keep persisting! I think I need to throw a fresh prawn out on a hook to catch a bream to restore my sanity and give me a buzz 😂
I lost my 70mm white spot colab prawn due to trying a 2nd hand outfit with perished braid. Bit filthy. Can anyone hook me up with a replacement for the pool room. Yeah, fan boi, i know.
Hey John, do you remember where you got the rod rack/holders that are on your decks? The ones that hold your rods flat, 3 either side. They look like they lock in? Cheers
