Absolutely brilliant video Mike & Teresa! Sorry it has taken me a little while to catch up with this. It was an absolute pleasure to meet up with you in Shrewsbury Mike, as well as all of the other fellow RUclipsrs. Thank you so much for the shout out too. As Louise from South West Sundays says, this video has truly awesome editing - it must have taken you ages! Terrific research into all the ghost tales around the fabulous and beautiful town of Shrewsbury too. Well done! Look forward to catching up with you again soon. Take care, Paul.
Hi Paul, thanks it did take a long time to edit and was a bit of a challenge but I thought it came out well. I find it very difficult to adlib on camera to having a plan to film the ghost tales worked well for me. Really pleased you enjoyed it. M&T
Hi Mike & Theresa - this was a great video with some familiar faces there as we know Watto, Kim, and Postcard and a Pint. My ancestors actually came from near Shrewsbury before moving down to South Wales. We used to be really interested in haunted locations before the kids came along and we would love to stay in the Prince Rupert Hotel. Loved the old timber-framed buildings. We saw you at Watto's premiere and thought we would look you up. It looks like a great channel and we have subscribed. Best wishes Elaine, Mike, Samuel, and Thomas.😊👍
The incident at the Railway Station to which you refer occurred on January 8, 1887 in the station yard. At about 3.30 p.m., William Heath (69) was searching for a cab, when the veranda over the cab stand was torn away from the wall under the weight of snow, and he was killed on the spot. The cab men had moved away from the stand owing to the danger. However, one cab was badly damaged and the horse slightly hurt. The entrance to the station was at platform level at this time, and the yard sloped up to the station frontage on made up ground which was excavated in 1902 in connection with the station enlargement works. The roof that spanned the platforms in 1887 did not collapse and kill William Heath. The present day veranda roof on platform three dates from 1924.
@@MikeandTeresaExplore Hi, normally I would check the details by reference to the Shrewsbury Chronicle reports of the incident. However, an internet search has caused me to revise my comment, it appears that William Heath was searching for a cab, and not on his way to the station.
Wow, great meet up! Nags Head is where ghosts rub shoulders with RUclips royalty! Nice to get a dose of Watto this weekend too! Drunk tower climbing? Never ends well! Perfect tales, editing and production on this well timed video! This had it all jilted lovers, serial killers! Think i’ll avoid Shrewsbury completely! 😱 👍
Hi both, thanks for the comments, it was such a fun meet up. The video was a challenge to produce but Watto was an absolute star for me he makes it fun. I can’t wait for the next meet which will be in March. You should try and get down for that if u can. Take care M&T
Hey Mike, just watching this now. Top stuff!! Good to see a different twist on the Shrewsbury videos. Really interesting, those pubs are stunning. Love Watto’s interruptions 😂. Nice tribute to Robbie Coltrane, nice touch. Shame about those 2 idiots by Ebenezer Scrooge’s grave stone. Really loved that!!! 🍻
Thanks, I owe Watto a beer or 2 for his part. Think I’ll always end up doing something slightly different or at least try too. It’s about how you stand out. The Robbie bit was going to be so different had to change it really. I didn’t mention the prison. Keeping open for a return visit. Take care M&T
I'll be haunted forever: With the desire to see Shrewsbury! What a beautiful town. Stunning buildings and it is haunted by all these RUclipsrs roaming the streets, wandering all over and drinking the odd pint I'm sure. Now that's the way to travel the world. Excellent video. Loved seeing everyone. Happy days. 👍 🫣 🇳🇱 🙋♀ 🇳🇿
@@MikeandTeresaExplore It also caught me up with Alice. I was a subscriber to another of her channels and somehow I lost contact. Strange. Glad to have cleared up that mystery too. 👻
@@MikeandTeresaExplore Excuse me. I had to leave short words to see if my comment will not vanish. It is a brilliant project, the collaboration with fellow YTbers. I like each YTber has a different character. "7 Ghost tales of Shrewsberry" the tile was well-named. Not only fall foliage but also those old tales of Ghosts dress up each town well. Thank you, Mike and Tresa. Please accept my apologies, I have an issue my comment disappearing.
@@ms.kayak7seas thanks so pleased you enjoyed the video. It is fun to see what we all come up with from the same visit. I have a very different style to others. Can't wait for the next meet up. Don't worry about the comment I thought there would of been an issue it the post. M&T

Love ghost stories 👻👻👻
So do we, thanks for the comment.
Fun to see Watto as your better half! Ian commented that you looked like brothers 😂
I love how you demonstrate that Britons pronounce Shrewsbury two different ways! 🤣
Did I do that ? That's no surprise, at least I got the right town lol. How would you pronounce it ?
I saw Watto’s vlog of this day… so I loved seeing your version, with the very Halloween appropriate ghost tales! 👻
Thanks, really appreciate you watching and comments. Yes they are 2 very different videos.
That was a really enjoyable watch! Loved the ghost stories and awesome editing!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the stories it took some researching. M&T
