Guy in the crowd sang it in the original key for the first two notes and realized it’s down tuned lmao
and he’ll always look back and think that he blew his one chance by coming in out of tune, when he always sings in tune in the car
and then one day, when this song comes on in the car, he’ll come to the realization that he NEVER comes in out of tune. a light bulb goes off and he does some digging
then he notices that most live performances seem to differ from the muscle memory his vocal chords and mind have built while singing the song in the car. fascinated, he scours the internet for answers

You can tell they're getting more comfortable with each subsequent show, Mark sounded a bit shaky on the first few, but he sounds great here
It also helps that they tuned the song down. If they wanna last this tour, it’s def smart for them to with the songs where they strain

this GOOD. holy smoke, this is actually really good, really true, amazing sing-along with the crowd . . . this is amazing. I can't believe how good this sounds.
basically what it comes down to in music reunions is that if it seems or sounds to good to be true . . . just enjoy it. be happy. live your life as well as you can and we'll get there. enjoy the good sounds. if its fake, why bother about it?

I usually hate dropped keys more than anoyone i know but blink can literally do no wrong with this lineup and this doesnt even sound bad. Id be mad if it was like stockholm syndrome (wish mark would go for those high notes in the bridge)
Who the fuck cares about dropped keys like if they cant sing it they cant at least they are playing it never heard anyone complaining about it lol
Blink 182 has always sucked live.
the thing is Mark can't physically reach those notes consistently with his voice. That's why Tom sings Dammit's chorus during live and not Mark
@@aleiorio7184 i always got the impression that that was just to make their big closer not be an exclusively mark song. I bet if they were to go back in time theyd have tom sing that chorus now that they know how much everyone values the 2 of them trading off. Cant say the same about that stockholm part. Also mark hits higher notes than that at random points in these sets. I just think they dont realize how powerful it sounds when mark’s voice is at its yell-i-est.
@@dno718 Mark's voice is surely powerful, but his vocal cords can't sustain an entire tour singing notes as high as that Stockholm part or Dammit's chorus every set. It's been this way since they recorded Dammit and Mark realized he had to push his voice a lot to reach those notes and almost injured himself

When they played it a second time at Coachella I think Mark was struggling and was really pushing his voice and with them playing multiple dates. He had a risk of screwing his voice up

That's no magic, I used to have an UAD Apollo card with Auto-Tune Realtime plugin, which you can use live, and with no detectable latency.
