Asuka was such a fun character and her coining the superior calls from souls style as the deadly shadowbeasts really endeared her and the clan to me. Her two Matches against Misaki are still some of my favorite cardfights to this day.
Here's another fun fact about Set 3 Dinos: The Savages + Gigarex paint a clear picture that you're supposed to eat a lot of dinos at once to get a big power buff column, BUUUUT, short of overcalling your own board manually you can only ever eat 1 rg per turn, meaning the savages are 7k-9k vanillas with extra steps.
One more thing about VGE BT03 is how skewed the foil ratios are for each column within the box. I've opened 11 boxes and noticed that each box always have 7 foils (RR and above) in one side, with only 1 foil on the other side. I shared my findings on the internet back then (Which was Vanguard Rider forum and Cardfight Capital) and a lot of people reported the same findings. Immediately inform my local shop to shuffle the packs inside the box after this.
as an addendum the 13k power was important even apart from crossrides, since with an 8k booster, they would hit 21k since there were no 15k shields at the time, that would make it a 2 card guard without triggers. its also why palamedes was a good card (and a RRR)
Small adendum: Daiyusha is popular, yes, but if we talk about the true king of DP, we are talking about an emperor really. Daikaiser is, by a landslide, the most popular DP unit. Daiyusha is just the safer option for Bushiroad to go with when bringing in DP because Daikaisers highroll can be a headache to properly balance, considering the card was brought in to make DP actually playable during OG era by giving it one of the strongest skills ever made.

We often say it is the most broken card that escaped Bushi's banhammer.
