This video provides information about the key elements to consider in converting a bathtub into a wheelchair accessible roll in shower:
    • Determine both the current and future capabilities of the client to choose the right accessibility products. Get input from an occupational therapist if possible.
    • Identify where the shower will be placed to make an easy entry.
    • Consider if the shower needs to be designed for a caregiver to help in showering.
    • Select from the following choices of bases:
o Expanded polystyrene base with a sloped barrier free entry set on the subfloor.
o Glass reinforced plastic base set directly on the studs for a zero degree threshold level entry base (wet room style).
    • Consider stylish shower wall surround options including acrylic, a decorative PVC backed composite, solid surface and tile.
    • Use the right accessories including a hand held shower, safety grab bars, soap & shampoo niches and fold down or stationary seat.
    • Identify if there are any funding programs (like those available from the Veterans Administration) to buffer the project costs.

Lots of great information. But the MUSIC is so loud, my parents cannot hear what you are saying. And they want to see and hear what is available. Please turn the music way down or not have it at all. The information is what is key here. Not the music.
