    it may hurt them now but this is a smart move in the long run
    it enables them to develop themselves and manage their resources
    in the long run it will create more stable careers and businesses

    It is ultimately better to developed the local industrial. You still need investment, but they should make sure that a share of 51% of all companies are afghans.

    The world is abundant with opportunities but sadly so few of them are used and there is not one Country on earth where you can not see politicians busying themselves getting sure it stays so.

    It's better to export a finished product for a while lot of reasons. Employment, higher value, better prices, solid economic growth etc.
