Icon is nasty, I hate it. I have to give you props for delivering, Ricky. It must have sucked for the developers who thought they were doing something special. It was a winning formula EA had with DJ:FFNY and all they had to do was add improvements rather than completely change the playstyle.

The problem everyone has is the shut down of EA SPORTS BIG. They dropped gems like def jam, fifa nba and nfl street, SSX and much more.

I get what you are saying, we're missing a lot of potential today because we lost EA Sports BIG; just know not all of them were made by the exact same studio. That's like knowing the difference between Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

Fun fact Ricky: In Def Jam FFNY, Dan G was supposed to be LL Cool J, Teck was supposed to be DMX, and Kurupt and Kelis originally was supposed to be in the the game as well.

Out of all 3 Def Jam games, Fight For NY gets the most love compared to Vendetta and Icon.
Vendetta is just as good tho
If I were to create the perfect Def Jam fighting game today...the roster would consist of OG rappers with current rappers under their tutelage depending on their regions. The map would be the entire US nation. I would bring Griselda members, Dreamville members, Kendrick Lamar (could you imagine Kung Fu Kenny as a Def Jam fighting character) underground producers like Apollo Brown and Marco Polo, and current podcasters like Noreaga and Joe Budden. Choose who the announcer would be whether its DJ Khaled, Funk Flex, or Christopher Judge. Bring in other long-time veterans like Meth, Doc, Busta Rhymes, Joey Crack and add Wayne, Drake, Eminem, Royce Da 5'9". Add current rappers like Jack Harlow and Joyner Lucas. The roster potential could be crazy the more I think about it. Graphics should be updated and gameplay mostly like FFNY but add something to spice it up. When creating a character, choose up to 3 fighting styles but maybe boost the number of styles to ten different styles, maybe divide martial arts into separate movesets so combinations are endless and it adds replayability. Maybe add inputs to quick grapples as finishers that players can choose from; I would love to see Spider's "Black Widow" as a way to ko the opponent.
I ain't go lie Vendatta had the longest fights in the beginning of the story unless you found the cheese. A 10 minute plus fight is just cray cray.😂😂

The Tag Team Tournament in Def Jam Vendetta Was Classic but challenging to a point especially Method Man and Redman aka Doc there were a a Challenge 👍 to a point Because The partner They give you u was ok but could give a better partner like Def Jam Fight For Ny For like they give you Fat Joe after the main story and so on Much Appreciate it another Hit Video

How do you tag your partner in
The further you level up your stats namely your grapple stat, you'll get new moves. Every one of the 4 dudes for story mode got basically 3 levels of moves and you're still in level one. Another thing bro, if you see yourself getting reversed, you can defend yourself by pressing buttons at a certain or just pressin em. Leave that charisma alone lol you're great for where you're at. Other than that Ricky you're doing good.
But you wanna know the best part? You had a better time against Luda than Chase did lol
