Really great tutorial. Really. However, three quarters of the way into the tutorial, when trying to fit a piece into another, my hand slipped and the en. tire. thing. fell. apart. then I promptly threw myself off a cliff after throwing the puzzle into an active volcano.
Yes, me as well. Thinking about putting a small drop of glue at my next attempt. Thankfully I was only 7 pieces in. For some reason piece 8 will not fit....
i told myself i was going to do this on my own and that i needed the tutorial. after assembling the entire body on my own, i eventually gave up and searched one up after trying to put the mouth piece into the head for about 20 minutes with no success. after watching you slipping it in so easily, i had realized i’ve been trying to put the mouth in UPSIDE DOWN THE ENTIRE TIME. thank you for your help.
that moment when you tighten the puzzle with the key, and you know that you can finally relax and not have to worry about the entire puzzle falling apart... again😅😭
Totally I almost threw my lion one in the garbage because of the instructions online not being clear as to what the piece is supposed to look like honestly after I finish this one and that one I will never get one of these puzzles again
I am literally so glad you commented this because I was putting it together and I was disappointed in how easily it could fall apart and I thought I got ripped off. I saw this comment and it was so relieving
Got the blue version for my girl child last Xmas. Pieces are like impossible to see because the light bounces off them. Would NEVER have gotten it without this video.
Thank you! I just finished my blue dragon! I never realized how some pieces can look so similar, so I had to teach myself how to look at the very small differences. But I decided putting pieces on as I watched the video just caused the puzzle to collapse so instead of putting it together while I watched, I sorted the pieces in order from when you put them on and went back to put them together. Lovely tutorial!
I wouldn't have been able to "make" this if you didn't make a tutorial, so thank you for that, but this puzzle wasn't very well made and my kit was missing three parts so I couldn't actually finish it.
Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey o no :( I would definitely try exchanging it where you bought it or contact university games/Bepuzzled directly they should be able to help you out :x
Got this for Christmas last year and decided to try and finish it before this year. It had been on my desk for the whole year lol. I had got many duo pieces to connect but couldn't figure out much after that. After watching your video, and realizing that you have to hold the puzzle to prevent it from falling apart really got me. I was afraid I was gonna slip and ruin it all. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the tutorial. Try using painter's tape. I couldn't keep the pieces from falling apart. After the fourth time redoing it, I used painters tape to hold it in place until I got to the key piece. It worked! I was then able to take the painters tape off and lock it in place. Hope that helps you guys. I would not have been able to complete this without this video. Thanks again.
i went and broke a singular peg on the tail, putting it together and then panicking as to if i assembled the tail too early so i decided "i'm going to assemble the rest of the dragon out of spite" it was a mistake i got confused by all the small pieces of the body, so now while the peg on the tail dries as i attempt to glue that crucial tiny piece of plastic back onto it's part i wanted to say thank you for taking the time to have made this instruction video. While at some points in the video it was hard to tell what pieces where what in the video, it was, in the end, very helpful
Hallelujah I got my red dragon together!!! It took me 3 hours because I had to stop start go back in your video several times to make sure I had the correct piece lord. I couldn't have done it without you Thank you!
I was so tired last night from struggling with this puzzle for two hours that I didn't have the chance to properly thank you for this. I got this on a whim cause I thought it was cool, struggled to put it together until I found your tutorial, and thank you so much for this. I put it together after rewinding to make sure I had the right pieces, making sure I didn't lose anything and making sure I didn't accidentally have a hand slip and bring it together. It irritates me that you need this rod and the key to tighten the puzzle and keep it in place, but at least it looks really nice. Thank you again for this helpful tutorial. ♥
you are my HERO for this. right before watching this, i was about a third of the way through when i dropped the puzzle and it all broke apart... your video made it possible to start again
Thanks for doing this video. This dragon was far from easy, and I'm usually a whiz at these types of things. My only crtique would be when you show the next piece, lay it on a flat surface so that the piece can be seen clearly. Rolling it around between you fingers made it difficult to see the piece clearly. I had to rewind often to try to see what piece was next. Having said that, I doubt I could have managed without your help. Thank you!
My 5 year old son got this from his schools gift exchange. No way could I have ever put it together if not for this video. I worked on it for an hr and half and was about to throw it away then thought maybe RUclips has a video. Thank you so much for making this video
I didn't know how in the world I was going to even start this before I found your video. After I sorted the pieces according to the online guide it was so easy following your tutorial. Thank you so much for the help. My red dragon is so pretty and glorious.
thank you so much I would of never got it together without you video.....then it took me watching and stopping it a lot..know that you helped a little old lady
amazing vid. was struggling most of the way until I found this walk through and saw what each part looked like. And the key...for a while I thought it was great for prying pieces apart.
This video was a god send!! Thanks a lot. After so many hand cramps and having to restart because of it falling apart, I’m finally finished and it looks great! :)
So, I won't lie-- your video was a big help. My only real issue is I wish you would show the pieces you were about to use next on a flat surface, because trying to figure out which piece you were holding was tricky. Then again, I think most of my frustration came from my dragon exploding twice and me having to start from step 1 all over again and forgetting how we got here.
animekittykitty aww :( I plan on redoing it eventually because I figured out a better way to do them from when I first made this one D: but it’s still a ways out because I’m backed up in requests :(
I loved the tutorial it was very helpful. however I would recommend using the stick and working around it so its easier to put the pieces together, until the end. I ended up doing the tail, legs, head and neck first so I could just attach them while following along. overall I'm very happy with he results and would recommend this to anyone who is having trouble with building this dragon puzzle. Keep up the good work!. 💖
It has two in one out, it has one in one out and if you flip it over…. I felt like I wanted to strangle you as you said those words every time lolololo super aggressive I know but i was so frustrated putting this together that those small identifications , which I just couldn’t figure out when looking for the right piece, were just getting a lil too much to me 😂However, without this video I couldn’t have done this in the half hour I did. Thank you so much for your video it was great help 👍
Amazing video! It was a very good tutorial!, I think they did update the puzzle however I still finished it with no problems! Great video and keep up the good work!!!
You are awesome. Thank you for helping me get this together with my daughter. It was a Christmas present and it would not have happened without this video.
I took one look at this puzzle and realized it was t numbered instant panic then i found your tutorial which helped wonders but while i was building this think i probably cried like 5 times as for it exploded and the pieces went everywhere near the end of my puzzle ehen i was putting on the tail and yyou had said it should slide right on. Thats when it hit me. I LOST A PIECE (spoiler i found it) but i had to tighten the pole again because i was wondering y mine wasnt tightening but she is all built and i love her. I started a love for these puzzles because i had bought a winnie the pooh one BUT I DIDNT KNOW THE BIGGER ONES DIDNT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS.
They do have some instructions on the university games website but, since these are unnumbered they stink a little... they’re illustrations showing only one side of the pieces :( I honestly find it easier messing around with them than trying to figure them out from their instructions.
I think the website for it is www.ugames.com/instructions what you’re going to do is scroll down to Bepuzzled and find the one you need, so in this case it would be dragon :)
Thank you so much, dear :d that helped. however, it was so frustrating to keep the piece from shattering. It happened four times!! AHH! but I held in there and continued :D Now I have a nice statue that will never be taken apart again! WOOOO.
Thanks for trying to help me make this puzzle, I found out halfway through this that some of my pieces for limbs were damaged. So off to try to get another dragon...
I hated the processes so much, it exploded in my hands around 4 times and it took a while to find the right piece sometimes, especially when it came to having to restart, but holy moly I did it and it's sitting ontop of my computer with the other two dragons I have that weren't hell incarnate because they weren't 3D puzzles dead set on ruining my afternoon.
Thank you so much! Only advise I'd have is when you first started show us a close up on how you had your pieces laid out. That way we could pause and do our best to match your lay out. Other then that brilliant thank you 😊
Charlie Roberson if you’re missing a piece and you just bought it you can talk to Bepuzzled or where you bought it and get it replaced 💚 and you’re welcome :)
Did your pieces stick together without falling apart? Because mine didn’t and it kept on breaking and I eventually had to super glue it in order for it to stay together.
Imran Reza sometimes they got better than others, sometimes there’s defects on the pieces and they overfill from the mold sometimes has to be taken care of. But the pieces won’t stay in place until the pole is in place, I tried mod podge on one of them to keep it together permanently after I assembled it and it’s holding pretty well.

Rapuzzle my sister got me this puzzle in October for my birthday and at first I was very excited! I was able to get the head , tail and the 2 back legs but the dang body holy cow I was about to just never try again cause I was going to throw it across the room . But then I looked on here my last hope and there was your video I was like oh my goodness yesssss . And you were very easy to follow and understand 💕
I managed to make all the parts and put almost everything together, but the long stick + some other parts confused me, so this helped a lot! Sadly there is something wrong with the orb-holding arm, it won't stick to the neck part, I asked my dad if he could help me but them he only managed to break the lower part that was connected to the dragon (it was an accident), so now it won't stick at all. Poor 3-legged friend. I will have to use glue now, oh well. The purple one is really pretty, I got the colourless one. Sadly it's kind of hard to see the dragon on my shelf, it would probably have stood out more with colours, but my dad originally thought that it had a blue tone when he bought it, I still like it though :)
Just got this puzzle and put it together. My only note is you should have gone through the pieces at the beginning so they could have been in a line like you had yours. It would been easier to follow. Or just pan through the pieces in your line flipping them to see both sides.
james elder I mean yea you could but without it you won’t be able to put the tail on :/ if it’s missing I’d return and exchange it either where you bought it or talk to university games/Bepuzzled.
I wasn’t able to complete my green dragon! Here’s why: After forever of trying to find a dragon at Walmart, I finally found a green dragon. I couldn’t figure out how to do most of it, so I looked up videos about it. This was the first video I saw! I, sadly, broke one of the connectors in the end of the tail, and some of the pieces didn’t fit together. I made it till about 12:30 after working on it for a couple hours. I was disheartened to say the least. I left off a few layers after the back legs. 😔
@@Rapuzzle aw boo! I’m sorry that they broke! It sucks when super fragile things brake, since it’s a pain to put the together again. Just thought I’d share my experience
@@mothicduh for sure, idk how bad it’s broken but you might be able to salvage it somehow🤔 mine broke where the wing connects so there’s too much weight for mine to fix 😂 I had to reorder them :p
@@Rapuzzle Rip! Mine was a simple break of one of the poles in the tail, making the end not connect. But despite that, I managed to pick it up this morning and get somewhere near the wings, before I took it all apart because nothing was fitting in the right place anymore 😞
@@mothicduh D: well if it’s only one of those little poles I the tail you might be able to use a little glue to keep that together. Just make sure it’s something that’ll dry clear, I tried super glue and it left a white area where I glued one together :(
It’s fully together and loose? Normally they’re just loose before you put the pole in. If it’s still loose after the pole it might be a defective one :( it rarely happens but if it’s bad after being together you might have to get it replaced from the store or from university games
Jose Cuellar no it shouldn’t need glue the pole should keep it in place but if you want it to stay together permanently I used mod podge on one to test it out and it worked I tried putting in glue on the inside of the parts once and it looked terrible but the mod podge on the outside worked out well.
Can you or anyone tell me exactly how many pieces they counted before starting? The box says 56 but I can’t tell if that includes they key as a “piece”. I want to give this away but only if I have all the pieces!
The ones without numbers don’t but the ones that have them do sometimes. But for the numbered ones, ugames has the website listed on the side of the box, it’ll tell you the piece order. And for ones like these it’ll show you what the piece looks like on one side.
I cant see the pieces clearly in the beginning. Perhaps if you could build the red dragon for me but take a few seconds clearly showing the pieces laid out right to left . This will get me started thank you!
Samantha Winslett i unfortunately am in the process of moving at the moment so none of my puzzles are here yet D: but if this one doesn’t help enough they do have instructions on the ugames website where they show one side of the dragon pieces at ugames.com/instructions scroll down to the Bepuzzled section and then find the dragon it’s alphabetical once you hit the Bepuzzled section. I found it a bit difficult to use them so that’s why I started making these xD I always assemble without the instructions because I find it easier lol and there’s some you can assemble from building from both sides to take out pieces a little faster. XD
You can earn money putting 3d puzzles together. Spray paint the pieces different colors like black and white. So your viewer ME will see exactly what your piece looks like AND how it fits together.....hell once you are moved let me know and I will pay you!!!
Samantha Winslett I saw your other comment that you got it together so I’m glad it helped a bit >< but if I painted them they wouldn’t fit together right anymore :(
They don’t really stick, only thing that truly will hold them together is the pole, but you can try using a small strip of masking or scotch tape to keep it together till you get the pole in should help a little
Is this easier than the penguin or a bit more difficult? It seems easier but that's probably because I started in the head and limbs. More than likely I'll have to take it apart.
It’s definitely harder, it has way more pieces from what I remember. But, the back having a cut out in it makes it a little easier if you’re trying to build it on your own, the square cut out will run along the spine for the spikes. So those will always be at the top.
Really great tutorial. Really. However, three quarters of the way into the tutorial, when trying to fit a piece into another, my hand slipped and the en. tire. thing. fell. apart. then I promptly threw myself off a cliff after throwing the puzzle into an active volcano.

This was very helpful thank you
Is there anything you could do to make it stay together while making it without just falling apart?
Just got this puzzle and put it together. My only note is you should have gone through the pieces at the beginning so they could have been in a line like you had yours. It would been easier to follow. Or just pan through the pieces in your line flipping them to see both sides.
i'm missing the very first piece with the little square thing on it. so,
is it possible i can still put the rest of the dragon puzzle together?
james elder I mean yea you could but without it you won’t be able to put the tail on :/ if it’s missing I’d return and exchange it either where you bought it or talk to university games/Bepuzzled.
I wasn’t able to complete my green dragon! Here’s why:
After forever of trying to find a dragon at Walmart, I finally found a green dragon. 😔
:( o no I’ve had some brake since we moved was pretty upset about them breaking, everyone with wings broke for me so my dragons and the Pegasus D:
Just make sure it’s something that’ll dry clear, I tried super glue and it left a white area where I glued one together :(
A tip is to tape it together with some scotch tape as you put it together so it doesn't fall apart and then once the pole is in peel the tape off
I absolutely HATE that this didn't come with instructions. It just gives it to you and says "well good luck"
Why are the pieces so loose bc I got one and mine are loose plz tell me
It’s fully together and loose? Normally they’re just loose before you put the pole in. If it’s still loose after the pole it might be a defective one :( it rarely happens but if it’s bad after being together you might have to get it replaced from the store or from university games
@@Rapuzzle Thank You So Much
Do you have to use glue cause when I finished it just fell apart
Jose Cuellar no it shouldn’t need glue the pole should keep it in place but if you want it to stay together permanently I used mod podge on one to test it out and it worked I tried putting in glue on the inside of the parts once and it looked terrible but the mod podge on the outside worked out well.
Rapuzzle ok thank you so much for helping cause I was struggling so much
Jose Cuellar no problem :)
2 minutes in we gave up before any permanent emotional damage could be caused.
does anybody have the piece numbers? im missing a piece and im kind of disappointed. :(
Great tutorial video unfortunately i had to use Tamiya extra thin cement to keep it from falling apart
Can you or anyone tell me exactly how many pieces they counted before starting? The box says 56 but I can’t tell if that includes they key as a “piece”.
I want to give this away but only if I have all the pieces!
Omg that was hurt but you help out a lot thank you
Ariel Curtis yea this one was a little harder than some of the others glad it helped
wow this one is amazing and very beautiful
I should’ve gotten a level 1 for my first 3D puzzle. I was so lost. I thought it came with instructions 🤣
The ones without numbers don’t but the ones that have them do sometimes. But for the numbered ones, ugames has the website listed on the side of the box, it’ll tell you the piece order. And for ones like these it’ll show you what the piece looks like on one side.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for helping me
I cant see the pieces clearly in the beginning.
Samantha Winslett I saw your other comment that you got it together so I’m glad it helped a bit >< but if I painted them they wouldn’t fit together right anymore :(
What is the small, clear “key” piece for?
A.J. E tightening the pole it’s kind of like a screw driver for it just don’t over tighten it if you hear like clicking stop tightening the pole.
Rapuzzle got it! I was wondering why mine was so flimsy. Thank you so much!
I just finished, but I was left with a plastic piece labeled "KEY"
Adam Adam the key is only there to tighten the pole once it’s together it’s only purpose would be if you wanted to put it together again later
Thank you so much should I finish now
How do the pieces stick for you?
They don’t really stick, only thing that truly will hold them together is the pole, but you can try using a small strip of masking or scotch tape to keep it together till you get the pole in should help a little
@@Rapuzzle oh thank you
Is this easier than the penguin or a bit more difficult? It seems easier but that's probably because I started in the head and limbs. More than likely I'll have to take it apart.
It’s definitely harder, it has way more pieces from what I remember. But, the back having a cut out in it makes it a little easier if you’re trying to build it on your own, the square cut out will run along the spine for the spikes. So those will always be at the top.
Thanks now donkey has a wedding gift to give.
🤣
It took me literaly six hours I didn’t now there were tutorials I dropped it and everything and i find this after building 😂
I got mine together but the ball keeps falling out of its hand, I guess I can just glue it in but it's frustrating
This is really helpful but mine keeps falling apart and it’s pissing me off
Try using some scotch or masking tape to hold the pieces on while you’re going through building it
Thank you
Nice tutorial other then your fingers covers up the piece the whole time. Had to remind multiple times just to figure out what piece it even was
Thank you!!!
