Making music with instruments is one of the things that separates humans from the other animals. Any group that targets musicians or artists in general makes it quite clear they're the enemies of mankind. I'm glad these people found refuge in Lisbon, may they grace our city with their music for many decades to come.

DG. Obviously you dont know the history of this country. All these students can make a bigger difference outside of the country. Ukraine was a liberated country before russia invaded it. donald trump arranged the takeover of the taliban and I am sick that Biden followed through with it. The taliban resumed their wave of terror as they had before. The women stand no chance under the taliban. culture, equality, humanity stand no chance under them. Thank God these people left. These students and staff did not stand a chance if they had stayed. You have no right to judge them.

The taliban would have snuffed them in an eyeblink. When the US left, it was too late for them to do anything because the agreements had been made and put into force. And even when the US was there - there were forces that wanted them to leave. We dont know how much corruption was happening even when the US was there. And your 2nd comment is resulting in my further reading to improve my knowledge about the Afghans. So much depends on the leadership of any country. After all look what trump and the republican lawmakers stirred up and validated in America. Look at their post election actions. Look at Jan 6. Look at his denouncement of Pence because he wouldnt obey trump. Thanks for replying.
I stopped caring about people of Afghanistan when they decided not to fight against taleban, you got what you wanted, now live with it. Every nation in the world is in the end responsible for it's own future, you could say that same for every individual, other people cant live your life for you, you have to do it your self. I personally would ban all men being as refugees and only allow women and children to be one (male children under ten years old). All men should have inescapable responsibility to make that place where they have born inhabitable and safe for them self and for their loved ones. There shouldn't be any exceptions.
