What a lovely sunny day for this video, and such a wonderful way to spend an hour and a quarter! When you were pointing out the gunnera and mentioned its huge leaves, out of curiosity, I did a search online for it, and huge is an understatement, I see! I also read that giant rhubarb was banned in the UK, so is it only grown specifically in botanical gardens, or is my information on the ban out of date?
Thanks for that information. I wasn’t aware that Gunnera was now banned in the UK; at least you can’t plant new specimens other than smaller leaved varieties. To be honest I’m not a huge fan anyway and that particular plant is over dominant in that location - the pond and path is too small and gets swamped. Smaller leaved varieties may be a good alternative.
