I could have bought it, but since the goal was to use muskets I didn't want to commit to a very expensive non-musket weapon - it also wouldn't actually have been that good here since it's mostly for elite kills and we just weren't going to have any trouble with that
I was just on the edge of my seat wondering how you would screw it up. As soon as I saw the wave 19 shop I saw it coming. I tried to tell you to hit the endless button, but you didn't listen. Love the Brotato runs and always look forward to the next one.
Definitely recommend the start with any weapon mod for this build effort. I have fired a musket before, it's ridiculously heavy and inaccurate, but the experience is a ton of fun.
My father used to make muzzleloaders, stocks and barrels. So I have definitely fired those off a few times, but a true musket is very archaic by comparison. Used to have some friends that did revolutionary war reenactments unfortunately I was more into concerts and video games at the time 😝
Yeah, especially if you're not trying to go past say 60 that seems like it would still be pretty strong! To be honest I probably don't really need tardigrade for the level 40 runs, though it still makes things safer
Gotta take a n y t h i n g I say with a grain of salt though haha I don't think I've ever gotten farther than lvl 68. Anyone have opinions on whether really deep endless runs are super RNG dependent or can you just outplay bad shop luck?
Yeah, I grabbed marksmanship on the no-move challenge for that reason, but overall I think I prefer to avoid them - they just really make the game less fun by making every other decision less important
It's very early days, but I would like to see you try out Airships: Lost Flotilla. It's very Brotato-like in its shop mechnics, and once the game hits its stride (assuming it does, of course.) it should be as entertaining as vanilla Brotato. Jeff has a video on it. I agree with his criticism about the waves being a bit too long, but having played it myself a bit, it's entertaining.
The Musket being L2+ seems like a very odd decision. The most interesting thing about it is the change in stats from levels 1-20, so why woudl you guarantee it can't be gotten in level 1?
As someone on Xbox without access to the GMO mod, these videos where I can experience it vicariously are fantastic. 😂 Would love to see a full-send on economy like a farmer/entrepreneur or saver/farmer, etc. run. 🙏🏼
Community support was by far the worst buy of this run. -2 armour for basically no bonus attack speed because everything is just dying to baby with a beard.
In my opinion, this weapon mechanic and not in any character 's starting weapon is a pretty poor design. Why lock two scailing items on wave 18 shop? I think you are too tired. XD
I kind of agree, I was surprised no characters can buy it as a starting weapon! I locked the scaling items because the plan was to go into endless until I misclicked the button :P
There's a mod you can use that lets you choose ANY starting weapon. It can be super broken but would be good for challenges like this
Yeah, I might do that for the second try so we can actually use the musket
I felt physical pain as you rolled past that level 4 obliterator after wave 11. >.>
I think you'll still survive it and live a long happy life lol

Lol at getting all ready for endless then missing the button out of habit 😂😂
That's the first time I've done that, and it's honestly kind of dumb there's no way to continue anyways!
@@Cephalopocalypse I have made this mistake SO MANY TIMES!!! I'm completely baffled that you can't continue after wave 20 ends.

Hoping to see a retry for an antique musket run! I'd love to see how it scales for endless and with more than one!
I haven't really done it but bloody hand endless is supposed to be a viable replacement for tardigrade endless! Just obviously has different synergies

How about a combination of Old+Old? If nothing else, just to see how small the map would be.
wait, you can use double the same character for GMO? so you can make whole random-random series again but with every character doubled
Have you considered doing videos on any other rouge survivors? Like god of weapons or halls of torment?
It would have been flavorful if the old started with the musket
Would ranger have an easier time rolling it?
That's a good idea! Rangers don't see melee weapons and also have the ranged damage shop tag so they're more likely to get it for two reasons
I think picking the broken items is fine if the character combo is way too challenging

how do i get this mod? I got my game from android and don't know if it is unlockable or do i have to purchase it.
Try double Renegade, it's hilarious.
More endless runs needed! :)
Yep, gotta go again :)

He did farmer/entrepeneur a few weeks ago. Spoiler - lots of harvesting. ruclips.net/video/YyZ6tPzwiyM/видео.html
Hahaha yeah todays video had soo many ups and downs! It was a very fun run.
i think a fun character combo would be chunky + demon, i wonder how high the % dmg can get
haven't fired one, but i held one
I have fired a black powder pistol but not a musket.

I was thinking the same. No enemies stood a chance. But if he hit the endless button... BOY HOWDY!
It was bad when we bought it, but would have been important for the slow-firing musket and really important if I'd successfully gone into endless
