I started sim racing this year I’m 39 w/ 2 kiddos. Really enjoying my choices for entry level hardware, I use a Thrustmaster T248 and a Next Level Racing GT Lite Pro on a PS5. Feels great.
Thank you so much Spanners and Brad for answering my question about Sim racing. Iam from the other side of the pond Washington DC suburbs . As a Matter of fact Spanners you are the reason I will be getting into it. You have always said in the past racing fans should try it at least , it's not quite what a pro driver goes through of course but as a fan one can learn a lot from it. Brad mentioned Moza , I have been looking into it. Explanation about the whole ecosystem and the pay was was excellent. Thank you guys.
Thanks very much this is a brilliant video go and apply for stewards.😂 I liked when Brad brought up attacking or defending subject in a turn, which in the present regulation is in a grey area.
My one argument against Brad's entry level DD wheel pitch(having just bought a moza r3 in hopes of upgrading from a g29), is that the moza didn't work with pcsx2. I CANNOT give up GT4 lol. And g29 still works with all of my PlayStation consoles and other GT games. I know GT isn't "sim" racing as such, I don't care. I'm more of a battlefield player than sim racer, even though I play shooting games in my sim rig..
Totally brilliant output guys. My 40 year following of F1 ended with AD21 and I'm really struggling to re-engage due to the lack of consistency. Management of the races just seems so amateur.
Spanners, I love your replies to some of these clowns. If they were really that bent about you or Brad or the things you guys say, stop watching and commenting(which promotes this video and the channel to the algorithm). Not saying we need a comment section full of sycophants and yes-men, but debate and verbal sparring is a far cry from the cabbage that comes from some of these people. Keep up the good work!
Like uncle Joe Sayward says. There are a lot of people who can be a race director but it's a tough job as you have to make controversial calls like Abu Dhabi when Max won over Lewis and many people think Lewis should of won the race and been champion. Being a reforee is a tough job in any sport. You take the burden of calls made for or against a team and the fans of the team will love you or hate you based on the call. Its a dirty Job but somone has to do it. I can see in the future a AI race director as a robot.
When i say AI i mean like Siri or that voice that talks to you and gives you direction's in a car. It is a robot and is non partial to any driver or team.
never appoint herbert again. The first 10 sec penalty of max is not right, there were several same situations, 5 seconds penalty and a racing incident, are therefore clearly biased. The second 10 seconds penalty was right, but the first one was not. Hubert is a power lover, and hates verstappen.
Nonsense hammilton missed the corner saw it by chance this week, was a fair penalty for hammilton. I'm glad brad is not Stewart. He only wants to drive trijntje.
Norris is also to blame, can't drive Max 2016 Vettel in the rain wanted to go outside but took his foot off the gas, same as the overtaking action on the outside with Leclerc, he also took his foot off the gas. You are just vulnerable if you want to overtake outside, Norris is just a bit stupid, he has all the time.

It was a sharp turn if you then wanted to pass outside then you had problem Max and Leclerc always have good races together, Norris is just not smart enough.
I'm sorry but 2 Team LH cultists should not be eligible for any race director role because every ruling would be against Verstappen. It's like I see you Johnny Herbert, someone hold my beer 😂
Foreign snowflakeism... Yawn! The fact is that the British ARE exceptional when it comes to F1. Most Teams are based in Britain. Most Engineers are British. The most succesful driver, in history Is British. There have been more British F1 championsthan the next 4 counties put together. That is absolutely exceptional!

Most dangerous job?
1. F1 Race Director
2. Drummer for Spinal Tap

I totally get it, Verstappen is evil😂
I wouldn’t go that far. He’s just a mean racer when he needs to be.
That's why he's 3 soon to be 4 time world champion
