      Haha, these versions were too good not to get a proper live album release at the very least…thanks for listening!

      @@binmonkey you're right! The Rock Show and I Miss You (from Pepsi Smash) were available on Spotify briefly though. I guess they were a B-Side to some untitled singles.

    This has to be based off of the Pepsi smash performance right? Incredible mix, tones, and playing man.

      Mainly Pepsi Smash for I Miss You, but I sort of just took inspiration from a bunch of recordings of the tour for the project.

    I really loved this and how close it was to how they played it from later 2003 to 2004. If there was one thing I had to comment on it was that the drums didn’t have any velocity in the sound to make it seem a little more realistic in the way. I’m not sure if you used a drum program but if so that was just a thought I wanted to share

      Thanks, yeah my relationship with programming drums is ever-evolving. Reading your comment though I think has sparked an idea for how best to throw some variety and randomness to the velocity, so I appreciate the feedback. For the kick and snare, minus ghost notes, they're on full whack as we all know how hard Travis used to play - but you're right, there's still variety in those hard hits...I'll try this idea out and see how it goes. Thanks again!

    Secret to the tone, King? 😊
    Any IRs etc?
    Great renditions!

      Thanks! Honestly it was mainly Amplitube, it did all the heavy lifting...then just EQ, Comp, the right guitars with the right pickups helps of course. A lot of the stuff Tom was using on that tour is included in Amplitube so it was just a case of reverse engineering to dial it in.

    Man this is amazing! any chances you can give me some tips on how to get the clean tone? I've been struggling to achieve it since ages, yours sounds exactly like Tom's. Amps/effects? please! thank you!

    • @binmonkey
      @binmonkey  Год назад +1

      Thanks! Everything is done through Amplitube, but it’s the clean channel on a Mesa Triple Rectifier with treble and mid at about 7 or 8, bass at 6, gain just below 6, presence at 8. Before that, there’s a 7-band graphic EQ with the lows cut most of the way and then some EQ and compression on the end of the chain.
