I’m excited to watch this but I hope Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab didn’t order killings of Muslims and made takfir of Muslims and thought his ideology was perfect. If this is true I’m sorry to say there is Galaxy of scholars I would rather follow and learn from then Ibn Abdul Wahhab 🤷🏾♂️
You don't have to follow him, nobody forcing you to do so. But no doubt the dawah of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab (rahimahullah) was crucial. Because if you learn the history of the 15th 17th-century Arabian peninsula, it was filled with deviancy. People used to do tawaf around the graves, do vile things with various trees. Alhamdulillah, Allah made the dawah a great success. Allah dispelled all the deviancy, heresy from the holy land through the dawah of ibn Abdul Wahab and imam al Saud.
Now all people make mistakes. A scholar no matter how much knowledge he is will have mistakes in his works. It is true for everyone except for the Prophets of Allah (peace be upon all of them). Scholars do not receive revelations.
The allegations against Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab are mostly false and blown out of proportion no doubt. Similar to the 3rd-7th century when many of the scholars of ahl us sunnah wal jamat made wrong/false allegations against the great Imam Abu Hanifa (rahimahullah). But it is not the same. Because in the earlier days there was lack of information. Scholars of one generation used to judge previous scholars with their followers. And unfortunately, the people from the 3rd century who claimed to be followers of Abu Hanifa were deviants who spread lies about him and they were in power and they used to torture other scholars. That is why you see that great scholars like Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Imam Bukhari all the way up to Abdul Qadir Jilani and many others (may Allah have mercy on all of them) dispraised Abu Hanifa on false premises.
In contrast, the agenda against Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab is crystal clear. Him in the peninsula, Imam Ash Shawkani in Yemen, Shah Walilullah Delawi in the subcontinent spread the Truth and stood up firm against the deviancy. And the British along with the Ahmadiyyas and the Sufi berlawis used to put the Wahhabi tag on them, torture them, spread lies about them. You can read this in the book 'The Indian Musalmans' by W.W. Hunter to learn more about this propaganda. Wallahi, I tell you, if you put on the Wahhabi glass and read the works of the salafs, you will also find that Ibn Taymiyya and his students, Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmad, Imam Abdul Qadir Jilani, Sufiyan Al Thawri, Imam Bukhari (Allah's mercy be upon them) were Wahabis. This proves Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab's dawah was not about invention it was a call to the way of the Salaf as Saleh. Peace

He was the one who brought the since authentic hadith books to the subcontinent. His most famous work is the Hujjatullah Al Baligah. He, his son Shah Abdul Aziz and his grandson Shah Ismaeel Shaheed, their valiant struggle against bid'ah that were prevalent in the subcontinent and against the British imperialism is documented history.

Was Ibn Taimiyyah a Rebel?

This is a repost.
Imam Ibn Taimiyyah was, and still is, one of the major scholars of Islam of all time. Numerous scholars asserted Ibn Taimiyyah’s status and vast knowledge, in addition to, his jihad, modest living, and high standard of character. Many of his students were major scholars themselves.
Ibn Taimiyyah was never a rebel. He was a Mujaddid, that is, a reformer who upheld the statements of the Quran and Sunnah and then the Prophet’s Companions above the opinions and madhahib that sometimes contradicted these resources. Ibn Taimiyyah contradicted all four madhahib where he found evidence from the Quran and Sunnah that opposed some of their rulings. It was not an act of rebellion, but an act of raising high the divine resources of Islam, by using evidence and proof from the divine resources as the final authority over everything and everyone.
Ibn Taimiyyah was not a rebel against the Sharee’ah. He was a mujtahid, that being, a follower of the Quran and Sunnah and the methodology of the Companions. He was a reformer who went wherever the Quran and Sunnah went. His entire legacy is about referring to the Quran and Sunnah for judgment and resurrecting their knowledge among the Ummah. To add, Ibn Taimiyyah’s opposition to deviant sects was precisely because he referred their ideas and practices to the Quran and Sunnah and found evidence that they are deviant, so he rebelled against the deviation not against the Sharee’ah. Ibn Taimiyyah knew well the difference between obedience to Allah’s Book and to His Messenger’s Sunnah, and the opinions that contradict them.
Here is Ibn Taimiyyah’s definition of those who rebel against the Sharee’ah. This is part of: Jalal Abualrub’s, Biography and Mission of Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab, Pg., 249-5, “The Khawarij were called as such because of their defiance and rebellion (Khuruj) against the Sharee`ah (Ibn Taimiyyah, Majmu`at Al-Fatawa, Vol. 28, Pg., 261). Imam Ibn Taimiyyah also said, ‘Numerous texts from the Mutawatir (abundantly reported) grade collected from the Prophet, blessings and mercy on him, describe the Khawarij. Muslim scholars consider the sects that follow their vain desires, and thus, defy the Prophet’s law and the consensus of Muslims, as being among the Khawarij, either literally or by association of ideas and practices’ (Ibn Taimiyyah, Majmu`at Al-Fatawa, Vol., 28, Pg., 469).”
Those who claim to be impressed by Imam Ibn Taimiyyah should follow his methodology, such as…
1) Ibn Taimiyyah believed that the Quran, every word of it, is Allah’s Kalam. He never questioned this essential aspect of Islam.
2) Wherever the Quran and Sunnah went, Ibn Taimiyyah went.
3) Ibn Taimiyyah upheld the Prophet’s hadeeth above the opinion of any madhhab or scholar who contradicted hadeeth.
4) Ibn Taimiyyah exposed deviant sects magnificently, never called for unity with them, nor did he ever call for respect of or cooperation with deviant sects.
5) Ibn Taimiyyah exposed the deviant ideas of the Ash'aris, extremist Sufis, Mu'tazilah, Jahmis, philosophers, and other deviant sects, by using the texts of the Quran and Sunnah and the statements of the Companions as the foundation of truth.
6) Ibn Taimiyyah exposed the Rafidhah, i.e., the Shi`as, brilliantly and eloquently, especially their claims that the Quran is not Allah’s kalam, their takfeer of the Companions, their attacks on Aishah in specific, their creed about Allah’s names and attributes, and their Khuruj against the Islamic Sharee’ah. Ibn Taimiyyah denounced Rafidhah creeds, scholars, and practices.
7) Until he died, Ibn Taimiyyah never apologized to the deviant sects he exposed. He never apologized to the Rafidhi Shia, in specific, nor ever said that he was fed information about them that he took without verification.
8) Ibn Taimiyyah never claimed that his teachers called to terrorism, extremism, or killing of Muslims.
Those who currently claim that they are impressed by Ibn Taimiyyah should follow his manhaj (methodology). They cannot contradict all what Ibn Taimiyyah strived to uphold and respect, yet, claim they are impressed by Ibn Taimiyyah. What is it they are impressed by Ibn Taimiyyah for? Is it his manhaj they are impressed about? Or are they hiding behind the fact that Ibn Taimiyyah resurrected knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah as his life-mission, while they contradict his manhaj and, when criticized for their deviation, they try and portray Ibn Taimiyyah as a rebel, i.e., against the so-claimed %99 of the scholars, which is a complete lie? Ibn Taimiyyah did not rebel against %99 of the scholars; he upheld the text of the Quran and Sunnah against the world.
Those who claim they are impressed by Ibn Taimiyyah, and all muslins should be, should follow his manhaj. Otherwise, what is the value of their being impressed by Ibn Taimiyyah and hinting that they know Ibn Taimiyyah like no one else ever knew him? Indeed, they know nothing about Shaikh Al-Islam.

2 big slanders to Sh. Ibn Abdul Wahab: 1. He did bida rejecting shirk grave intercession answered by Hadith Umar's Tawasul w/ Abbas in his Calipha, not any graves. 2. He rebelled, direct record shows, he did Hijra & defended self & Sunna above from Meccan pilgrim nappers, also Uthmanis were not in charge of Najd in the 1800s. In ww1 Jordan rebelled for Palestine due to all the sufi bida (in name of misquoting mathhabs all who said return to the sunnah as uniting point for transparent unity over blind division) leading to secularism which salafi dawa could of prevented 100 years ago and it was Saudis who beat uk backed Jordan so its the opposite!

Kitab Al-Tauhid is basically just a compilation of ahadith. People are haters because they are ignorant.
Indeed, Quran and Ahadith literally.
I think there might be one or 2 weak hadith but every scholar errors on a hadith grading here or there unless I am mistaken!

It is literally identical to the book aqeedah at-tahawi, I would recommending reading it with the explanation of imam ibn izz al-hanafi. That book is absolute gold.

Shaykh jalal Abualrub mentions the books he worked on 1 minute mark into the video.
He is translating Zadul Mead, 4 volumes are already published in English, also translating Tafsir As Sa'di some volumes printed, he has translated many other books and authored a few also.
He is one of the students of knowledge who have done a lot of work and Dawa in the States.
If you are asking me, Jalal Abualrub, I have close to 60 books in print by Allah's blessing, including translating a half of Tafseer Ibn Katheer, and continuing the translation of Tafseer As-Sa`di and Ibn Al-Qayyim's Zad Al-Ma`ad, and authoring dozens of books, such as Muhammad's Role in Islam, 50 Righteous Concepts Brought by Muhammad, Holy Wars-Crusades-Jihad, etc. Alhamdulillah. If you are asking the brothers at One Dawah, may Allah reward them for starting their efforts by defending one of the Imams of Islam. More beneficial works will in shaa Allah come from them. While at it, if the person does what you suggested here, they should ask why Yasir Qadhi spends his time denouncing an imam of Islam using a pack of accusations he used to call lies, using books he used to call fake, accusing him of massacres he used to describe as fabrications ---yet says nothing about a million Muslims killed by the Shias since 2000---, saying that invoking the dead is not shirk after he used to say it is shirk, saying there are holes in the documentation of the Quran after he used to declare that saying that is kufr, visiting holocaust victims in Germany [killed by Christians] but never visiting Gaza victims of Jewish holocaust, saying that salafis are takfeeris while his own teachers are the ones who are known to be takfeeris, etc.; A collection of deviations that would destroy an entire tribe of people if they believe in them let alone one miserable man who says that he learned doubts about Islam at Yale that he still has no answers for!
Meanwhile, by the blessing of Allah, last year I finished 8 new books on 8 different topics in hundreds of pages, wrote hundreds of articles, gave khutbah in many places, produced videos and audios, etc., while very ill and needing eye treatment.
I doubt that person will ask these questions, though. My experience with similar audience is that they care less about what Yasir Qadhi and his likes say about the Quran, Tau’heed and Islam than they care about shielding and protecting such teachers, who now call to what they themselves used to describe as lies, fabrications, shirk and kufr.
