FG Increases Electricity Tariff For Band A Consumers

Adelabu is probably the most incompetent minister in government. He doesn’t understand energy policy. He’s talking about cost reflective traffic, what about about service reflective tariff ? Where is even the power in the first place ? So we have no power yet when we get power we have to pay more for it ? What has the government been subsidizing?
This is ridiculous. The minister speaks as if he’s a paid lobbyist for the power companies.
Their is no power because the sector doesn’t not generate enough power and cannot attract foreign investment because the business model of the sector is broken. Then you have companies in the sector who don’t even understand the sector. All of this companies have been taken over by banks. So it’s the bank applying pressure for this power increase so they can make money and the government has yielded.
Since the government has deregulated the power sector which act of parliament gave it power to increase the tariff ? Also why is the government subsidizing private business ? What exactly is the government subsidizing? Darkness ?
President Jonathan badly managed the deregulation of power. The business model is broken that’s why we have no direct foreign investment in the power sector since deregulation in 2010.
