Thanks for a great video Bo. I’ve tried fishing soft plastics along the top end of Crusoe a couple of times but the tide’s been raging through and 1/4 or even a 3/8 oz jig head has just been swept away. It looks like you’ve explored quite a number of different locations.

Gday mate. It can run very hard around the pin area but you get plenty of good days as well. The harder the current is running the shallower I will fish 👍 with all the dirty water around at the moment it’s given me no choice but to fish the clean water closer to the mouth. I usually only use 1/4-3/8 as well but definitely a 1/2 when I’m tea bagging the deeper the stuff 👍

Hi Bo, if you stick to the 3 inch Zman you will catch more fish, with the 4 inch you will have lots of tail grabs and miss the fish..

Yep you’re definitely right there, the bigger plastics will attract more tail grabs. I’ll jump down to 3-3.5inches if I’m chasing numbers. But I’ve found I’m far more likely getting that bigger fish on the 4 inch so I’m happy to lose a couple to get that bigger flatty 👍

What a great session Bo. I enjoyed every minute of it. Mate would casting hard bodies be worthwhile or do they only come into their own when trolling? Thanks.

Gday Warren. Glad you liked the video mate 👍 I don’t use hard bodies a great deal to be honest, I fish a lot of ground with weed so any lure with trebles cops of lot of it. Plus the price of a jig head and plastic is awesome, especially when compared to most hardbodies 👍 the only time I’d be more likely to use hardbodies is if I’m trolling because of strong winds.
