I have already secured my property. It is the most unique overall concept with free lifestyles that everyone has always dreamed of. And it is breathtakingly beautiful. Just the view from the bird's eye view and the view from the terrace into the endless expanse. You feel the freedom not only in nature, no, also in the free construction without building permits, the specially grown, pollutant-free fruit and vegetables, watered from a clean, on-site deep well. Just fantastic. Great support in every matter. They care about you. It's all so easy. Indescribable feeling❤
I see a comment that this is a global community project? Does this mean masses of expats will move in and drive prices costs living up? I'm interested in finding out more but I wanna run when I hear words like global or equity equality inclusion 🤡
The first thing that struck me watching this video is there are no trees!! Why not? Is the soil so bad that it can’t support trees?? Or do people there hate trees? The absence of trees is the only thing I don’t like. I feel like it’s a deal breaker for me.
I bought it and I have to say that it is a very balanced price and not expensive at all. I am pleased to be able to be part of this globally unique project with a lot of future prospects.
Awesome video, well done. You managed to present our community in great detail for it being just an one hour video. We've been living here for over a year now and are super happy. Never before have I met so many kind, intelligent, open and freedom loving people in one spot.
@@21stCenturyEconomy Very positive. We brought a lot of business to Cazaapá. There are new stores opening all the time and existing ones are beeing modernized. And in general, Paraguayans are very friendly and open towards foreigners.
@@21stCenturyEconomy , if you find this thing interesting and you're serious, go there and check it out, but don't invest in the first couple of years. @@21stCenturyEconomy what they won't tell you is that they need 24 hour security because the Paraguay way is to steal anything they can from their neighbours. The security they have on their homes here is like what you see in south africa. The Py are not violent, but it is in their nature to take what they want. Even if they don't need it, they take it. The IQ is super low. They don't think about how the stealing will affect their relations with you. If you have property here, someone always must be home because they wait for you to leave before kicking in your door or smashing a window to gain access.

Like any country/community you should always do your due diligence before you commit. You need to ask people in other online forums about this option - there are many other opinions out there about places to live in PY. Also if you need your residency application done you need to shop around too - many people are being charged double what they should be.
That's what most people don't want anymore. They long for nature, peace and a free, healthy lifestyle. Many people can no longer bear the stress of the city, so they are far away from the capital and close to smaller towns like Caazapa or Villarica
I'm fascinated with the idea of moving to Paraguay. Thank you for this informative video. Whether or not we choose this community, I hope it prospers and continues to provide such a wonderful opportunity for people to live well in a safe community.
This is one of the gratest videos about our community out there. Thank you so much for that work! My wife and I with our two kids living in this community since four years now. What a brilliant settlement project - people with a big heart. And how beautiful nature is. I have seen the world and I must say: Especially for families with children, perhaps the best place in the whole world.
I don't want to spoil anyones dream of a better life, however, this place is a richmans playground, one does not buy a million dollar 3-D printer unless one is very rich and has the intent to make many more millions with it. The middle class are the cash cows that keep this place running and I have the feeling the doctor is not being totally truthful. A gaited and 24 hour armed security force, which appears to be manned by locals is another hint, as well as the new airport and landing strip for private jets is another big tell. This place is not what it appears.

I wonder what language is used in school, but I guess it is Spanish. I had hoped for English. Of the 5 languages I learned, Spanish is not one of them. My children and grand children live in Sweden, they speak English as a foreign language. I am in the US now. This is an ideal place to be, in this community in Paraguay, when the US&Europe collapse soon.
@ 15:09 he talks about the Guarany Aquifer, which is the second largest in the world. Most of its water is in Brazil (62%) then Argentina, Paraguay and the smallest area is in Uruguay. Check "Guarany Aquifer¨ in Wikipedia, quite interesting.
It is not expensive - but wonderful! Of course, the construction costs also include the costs for the entire infrastructure. This includes electricity, internet, water, communal areas, swimming lakes, dams, over 100 km of roads, café, library, kitchen, bakery, security guards (A must in Paraguay) and much more. You can't compare this to any settlement project in the world or even in South America. When you include everything, it becomes clear that it is not expensive. The jungle and the inexhaustible nature is wonderful! But the best thing is the heart-connected community. ❤
Very expensive homes for location and very little land on those lots to make it independent, off grid living. Brand new houses in Texas, USA are cheaper than in Paraguay.
Looks amazing! I would might consider doing something like this but I would want to own the land myself. Also it's hot and muggy 6 months of the year in almost all Paraguay which I can't deal with. But I'm very happy for those that are able to live there and enjoy the climate and very clean environment.
The most important think as an old woman myself. I love the safety aspects means everything to me. I never feel safe anymore living alone. How can I find out about renting an apartment. I am retired from government in USA. And would love to try something new such nice people.

Great video. Informative! One flaw: I am from Filadelfia, near this community. It is a Mennonite community there... not like the Amish. The Mennonites started that colony about 90 to 100 years ago. Now they are almost as modern as this new community in the video, not 'insolated'.

In this country we do not have problem with other cultures if they behave with sane good intentions in their hearts... when you speak with people from other countries you just know what is in their hearts in a few minutes of conversation A key rule is just behave with humility and try to learn and understand paraguayans, we are not complicated people, just make some effort to learn a basic spanish and a plus is also some words in "Guarani" (mba'e teko, mabaeishapa = how are you? ) or say "Hola como estas" and you are in a good way. I believe this is a mostly conservative country with roots on Christianity, but any form of spiritual practice with good intentions have place also
Hats off, but what irks me is this: investors and freedom CANNOT go together. They contradict each other. Investors (especially white men from the west) want one thing and one thing only. Watch down the road when these investors "organize", and start introducing "laws" that suits them, and laws need armed thugs to enforce them. That's when your freedom starts to look not as free as it began. Man's mind is corrupt by default. Just saying. Otherwise, lovely concept, gorgeous setting.
@@__3800 You are correct, that is one big risk actually. With traditional german menonites our experience is good, since they integrate with local culture and the investments they do benefits local population and they do no impose "their rules" nor create new laws that benefits to them only. They are not colonial-imperialist and extractive culture like UK o USA style, - Sadly this is a world wide prejudice - But also I know that is not true for every american or british. I live here on Colonias Unidas , a german Colony in Paraguay, they are not exclusive nor racist, they mix very well with local population, some groups are more closed due to religion factors and we respect that, they do benefit this country in the end. They are not interested in exclusively extracting resources from this country and only filling their pockets nor creating militar bases for Germany, that would be the case with a tipical British/USA colony
This is exactly what I was looking for here in the United States because I have the solar and the battery bank but I can't find any place here I would love to move to your community
I´ve been working in paraguay for more than 10 years. Here is my take, for those who are thinking about living here: Pros: Lots of nature, vast amount of land at a reasonable price (depending on the region), somewhat affordable (depending on the region), guns for self defence are accessible, somewhat stable political and economical environment (compared to the old 1980´s). Cons: Risk of violence (depending on the region you have drug trafficking, epp militia groups, regular perps), lack of modern infrastructure (if you are coming from a developed country), generalized corruption (all levels of government), cultural idiosyncracies (I cannot stand some of their cultural habits). Summarizing, I think it is a good idea if you are retired, with some money reserved (dollar and euro goes a long way here), and you are looking for isolation in a rural land (preferably in one of the mennonite settlements). If you are looking to open a factory or bring an innovative business here, there is room for growth but it has to be with brazil and argentina in mind. Paraguay has a relatively small population that are mostly low income, so selling anything to them needs to be low cost/big margin/credit system.
Perfect! I’ve been wanting to build a healthy community on my property in the Sierras, but wasn’t sure about the basic structure, so I’m safe as well as the new members.
Couple of points to the level of planning; it would be nice to see a depiction/model of the projected look of the community. Also, the first walk-through of an occupied house; nobody thought to pre-inspect, to make sure it didn't look like a pig-sty? Not sure how *any* community could legislate the kind of agreeableness articulated by the founders. Sure, right NOW, there may be some sort of "agree-to-desagree" dynamic, and all involved may enter into the vibe with those intentions, but down the road? The idea of being able to do whatever one wants, is great (in theory), until that includes someone wanting to open a car repair place in their own home. A "free society" is really nice, until your freedom infringes on mine. I live in Ecuador, where this is frequently the case. And finally, I wonder if the (overly-defended) turnover rate isn't more a product of boredom than "attrition"; aside from ranching/farming, what are folks actually doing, in this community?

@@21stCenturyEconomy Very positive. We brought a lot of business to Cazaapá. There are new stores opening all the time and existing ones are beeing modernized. And in general, Paraguayans are very friendly and open towards foreigners.

I don't want to spoil anyones dream of a better life, however, this place is a richmans playground, one does not buy a million dollar 3-D printer unless one is very rich and has the intent to make many more millions with it. With around 300 days of sunshine per year, I'm surprised there are no solar panels, so that the project can be 100% auto-sufficient!💚
From the video it looks like everything gets covered in dust from the dry tracks, they probably would need to be cleaned weekly or even more often.
They say it's "off grid". Not sure what that entails other than water from the aquifer.

You are welcome. If you show respect for the environment and the local culture, people will love you. In this country we do not have problem with other cultures if they behave with sane good intentions in their hearts... when you speak with people from other countries you just know what is in their hearts in a few minutes of conversation
A key rule is just behave with humility and try to learn and understand paraguayans, we are not complicated people, just make some effort to learn a basic spanish and a plus is also some words in "Guarani" (mba'e teko, mabaeishapa = how are you? ) or say "Hola como estas" and you are in a good way.

I´ve been working in paraguay for more than 10 years. Here is my take, for those who are thinking about living here:
Pros: Lots of nature, vast amount of land at a reasonable price (depending on the region), somewhat affordable (depending on the region), guns for self defence are accessible, somewhat stable political and economical environment (compared to the old 1980´s).
Lieber Siegfried, ein fertiges Modell gibt es nicht, da jeder sein Haus individuell planen kann und es keinen Bebauungsplan mit Auflagen zur Dachform oder Fenstergrösse gibt.
