I got the E5, it's a huge upgrade from my old wifi 5 router but need to get some more access points. Only getting up to 500 mbps in the other room. 780 Mbps up close but still better to use a cable with my main PC. BTW, you don't need to sign up to their cloud service for it to work. I would skip the app.
Does it matter if you use the RG-E5 or RG-R6 as the primary router? I was thinking the RG-E5 would make more sense? Also right now with prime deals it's cheaper to buy multiple RG-E5's, can/should I just run a few of them for my mesh?
Anyone know if you can do this? I want to connect the RG-5E as the main Wi-Fi to my ATT Modem, I want to let the ATT unit handle anything hardware thru my switch to it and let the RG-5E handle anything coming from Wi-Fi. So the ATT would provide IP for RG-5E and the RG-5E would provide IP's for anything Wi-Fi. I have my older Orbi doing this without any issues. If that works without having to put the ATT Modem passthrough mode so RG-5E could handle all IP addresses I'm ready to buy!
So I can't use the Reyee WiFi 6 Router AX3200 Smart Wi-Fi Mesh Router as my primary router and link it to a NetGear Range Extender? Sorry, still learning.
I mean you could but why would you? Range Extenders reduce bandwidth compared to Mesh setups resulting in slower internet connections, Repeaters would be considered as "dumb mesh" they listen and repeat EVERYTHING, not just the data needing to pass through them.
The way I found around this is to connect the legacy device to an older router's 2.4ghz ssid. Then turn off that router and name your new router with the same ssid and password. Your legacy device will connect to the new router that combines 2.4 and 5.
It works great. It has a "Smart Device" ssid that you can enable that is only 2.4 and it leaves your main network with a combined SSID. I have a similar issue as you with our Neato robot vac. It connected without issue.
@@powersp68232 That's awesome to hear, for my internet I have to adjust the MTU to work properly, I've been searching and I have found it is something that is not advertised much.
I just got the rg-r6 2 piece I work for a cable company so I work on internet and cable and the the reyee is better than the eeros we rent to our customers
Mesh Wifi is the way to go if you have a large house or just bad coverage with thick walls. That being said, upgrading to a mesh network with Wifi 6 is even better, ensuring you can get nearly the full network speeds your modem is pushing through.
Wifi 6 is nothing like WiFi 6. It's overall speed is 250% faster than Wifi 5. It took about 2 years for Wifi 6 to become the norm after it was announced, so it'll likely take the same amount of time for 6e to be adopted.
@@phandroid Why though. All the new phones have wifi 6e. I even replaced my wifi adapter in in my 7th gen intel laptop with a 6e ax210 card for $25. All I've seen miled speed increases with regular 6. More than anything, 6 imcreased the amount of clients that connect not so much speed.
Yeah it MIGHT improve your wifi if you can FIGURE OUT HOW TO SETUP THE COMPLICATED PIECE OF SHIT !!! I had to go back to my OLD router because I was ready to throw the new one THROUGH A WINDOW since in trying to set it up I LOST INTERNET ON MY COMPUTER AND PHONE and also HAD NO TV for almost a day before I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT !! The support teams for my cable , router AND modem were USELESS AS TITS ON A BULL !!! I finally TOOK OUT my ethernet cable and installed Wifi for my Firestick and THAT SOLVED EVERYTHING !! NOW, with MY OLD ROUTER , I'm getting TRIPLE the internet speed I got before just by taking out the ethernet cable and installing wifi on my Firestick . WHY THE FUCK one of the IDIOTS I CALLED couldn't have figured that out I HAVE NO CLUE - I'm just GLAD IT WORKS TONS BETTER NOW THEN BEFORE ! I returned this PIECE OF SHIT router you're pushing on here TODAY !!
Great price on Amazon right now for the RG-R6 and the RG-E5. I ordered both to test out against my Tp-Link Deco p9. Thanks for the review.
Just got mine and installed and I am very happy with it.

Se oueden usar esos dos nidelos juntos ? En forma mesh puedo sincronizar esos dos modelos?

How do I just get 1 8 pronged Reyee 6 router , I have xfinity gateway an does router plus into gateway running 1200 mbs?
Can the RG-5 operate in AP mode. Got the RG-5 and want to use it as an access point connecting to non-RG router. Any ideas how to do this?
Can you use e5 as main and r6 as mesh?

Can I still use it in small house
Whitch better m32 or 3200?
stupid printer keeps disconnecting. how to set up static ip for printer so it FN WORKS
How does it work with devices that are 802.11b/g only? I have at least one device that does not like having both 2.4 and 5ghz in the same ssid

I just bought the 2 rg-r6 setup and you can even choose which channels on each separate ghz to put each device

Can I use it as a Wi-Fi extender??
Looks like most of the Reyee routers can be linked by mesh
I could not make it work it. It kept saying it was unable to get the ip address and kept saying connected without wifi.
If your main ISP is providing an IP6 address you'll need to let the router know and set it up accordingly. It's buried a little bit
Can you adjust MTU?
The MTU can be adjusted.

It seems to me the name should be said R G R 6 "2 pack" instead of "2 P K"?
well, you'll have to take that up with Reyee. Regardless of the name, what do you think of the mesh system?

I haven't figured out why Wifi 6e still hasn't taken off. It is the true generation leap. Wifi 6 is just a glorified Wifi 5.
