I never had anything against Pearl, but I always felt that she wasn't thinking for herself and was just regurgitating what Kevin Samuels was saying and pandering for the red-pilled community. This hits deeply if you ever experienced this. I believe she really cares about these issues but she is quite young to understand the complexities. I was suspicious of pearl from the jump. She would finger wag and use statistics to shame her guests and embolden her own stance in an effort to make her sound authoritative and right. When in reality, she often uses other rp/bp talking points that are half truths. For example, when she points out that men should be promiscuous because it makes men look more valuable to women (meaning he can get bitches so some potential mates may see that as a quality man), but fails to realize that women with low body counts may view men in a different light, and would most likely prefer a guy with similar experience or lack thereof. All people, man and woman, have varying preferences, and the way she uses blanket statements to apply to all men or all women makes her more of a grifter than someone with something important to say.
I remember Thomas Sowell talking about ROOTS being mythology too. That's probably where she got that.
She did, she quoted Sowell's book. But the outrage mon wouldn't tell you that because Sowell is black.
To be specific she alluded to this book: Black Rednecks and White Liberals.
The whole Sorwell thing is so annoying for someone like me who has read a whole bunch of autobiographies of former slaves turned abolitionists. Sorwell could have discribed Roots has fictional representation of historical events but instead he called it a "myth" becos his only goal is to tackle white white guilt. I actually think he has a noble objective but the sad thing is he's prepared to lie and misrepresent data in order to get there. The flaw in what she said, is that slavery couldn’t have gotten more horrible than it was. Nothing could have been done to make it a more horrific and agonizing situation for a human being to endure. You had to watch your loved ones be either torn away from you never to be seen again, or watch them get beaten and killed. You had to work tirelessly in the most grueling conditions for almost no food and almost no water, you barely get sleep and it’s on the worst cots ever or a dirty floor, you’re in rags the whole time, love is forbidden, joy is forbidden, women were r*ped, people were hung and beaten…………. This hits deeply if you ever experienced this. I believe she really cares about these issues but she is quite young to understand the complexities. Unfortunately, the community will sooner see her taken down than educate, correct or build. The way everything happened looked like a hit job because I know of Pearl's hate groups who have been working hard to bring her down but nothing worked until they got their two minutes in the Fuentes video. The show Roots was one of, if not the biggest, multi-million dollar production to install "triggers" that are used to manipulate us into predictable responses, when those certain buttons are pushed.
