Blasted on Social Media

The plaintiff has been dating the defendant’s cousin for approximately two years. After the plaintiff and her boyfriend got into a physical altercation one day, she says the defendant began harassing her. The plaintiff alleges the defendant called her a prostitute and threatened her on social media, so she is suing for harassment, as well as defamation of character. The defendant admits she was angry with the plaintiff but insists she never defamed her on social media.
