There's a saying that if ever the Cologne Cathedral is finished then it's worlds end. But the people of Cologne are known for their humor and declaring the real peace of heaven on earth is Cologne, so: A man is sitting at the Rhine river watching the sunset, drinking his beer. Suddenly God sits beside him, watching the sunset, too. After some silent minutes the man dared to ask: "God, what are you doing here?" God answered; "Home office, my good man, Home office."
Due to ww2, the city got pretty ugly with all these simplistic buildings that have been raised afterwards. I recommend to visit Leipzig one day, thats the better Berlin in the east of germany with many classic buildings.
Oh yes always wanted to see Leipzig, my grandmother lives in Osnabruck so most of my travels in childhood was around that area....I think next time im renting a car because trains took too long :/

small glasses are quickly done and quickly refilled.allways a fresh beer in front of you :)
But it cost almost the same as big beers in different city so this is basically a rip off 🤣
@@theamericanexplorer drinking in a "brauhaus" is a rip off anyways..lol
