LOVE THIS!!! What a beautiful cover. Amazing tribute to Layne. You play guitar and sing perfectly and all the while doing it your way. Never loosing your own voice! Nicely done. I'm excited to see what's next. Thank You for sharing.

Hey bro i watch your stuff from time to time, i play guitar aswell so its good to get tab ideas from other people and i know you tab them yourself for the most part. You did a great job, i live in seattle and i just saw them live at pain in the grass a month ago and they played this song and it was great.

    • @the92project

robert barna thanks for the comment. The tabs are mine 100. %. Warts And all. Lucky you seeing the in seattle!

@@the92project thank you aswell, you have a good ear for doing them yourself because i know from experience that they can be difficult at times. Yes they put on a great show as expected, it was my second time seeing them live they played with bush and stone temple pilots, i dont know if your into more grunge like nirvana and other seattle bands. My guess is you live somwhere in Europe though i wish you could have been to pain in the grass, lucky for you alice in chains actually tours alot of areas from all over the u.s down South America and uk and Europe so i hope you get to see them. May i ask how long have you been playing guitar? And what your favorite bands are? For me ive been playing off and on for 7 years and im a big fan of seattle music plus i live here so its great, i was born the same place as jerry cantrell so im familiar with alot of this area. Here in seattle we have a rock and roll museum with artifacts like a famous burned peice of wood from jimi hendrix guitar he burned on stage and we have a museum with Kurt cobains guitars and clothing which is really badass. I also love nirvana so ive been to kurt cobains house (which is a park that overlooks his house) a couple times and i still like going when i have time, ive been to layne staleys condo (the one he died in rip) and it's amazing in itself, words cant describe the feeling it gives you, very peaceful even though alot of pain was imprinted in those areas i feel that their soul lives on and has found peace. If you are interested at all if you have an email i wouldnt mind sending you some pics and staying in touch as soon as i get more. It's good to do all this stuff when were young so that when we are old we can have the memories.

@@the92project also i plan on making a video one of these days tabbing out god am and explaining how its played and the propper way. There's not much info on the actual song all i know is that when i was younger i could never play it correctly so now i want to show others how to do it because i really could have used the help. I dont have a nice setup like yours, i dont really have anything at the moment but i can still explain the correct tabs with my cheap guitar and amp. Ive studdied alice in chains tabs for 7 years off and on so i do know alot and ive attempted and put alot of time into tabbing some degregation trip songs but thats ALOT of work and very time consuming so props to you for your effort because trust me i know it can be a bitch, especially that album. I dont think people can tell by watching you just how much work you put into this so i admire you and i seem to have alot in common with you. Also if you wanted to share some tabs let me know, i have a stack of paper around here somewhere that ive jotted down some of my tabs and they are very accurate, im a perfectionist so if its not perfect im just not happy and work until its correct. One if the tricks i use which is VERY helpful is a music program you download to your computer, (sorry i forgot the name) and you load the file of the song your tabbing and it allows you to slow down and isolate certain instruments like guitar to hear it more clearly. It sounds great but it can still be a pain in the ass, your not always able to isolate parts of a song so they're a real bitch to tab. Some songs i had trouble with were "thanks anyway" which if im correct ive discovered that the beggining part is actually like 5 guitars playing at once, another i had trouble with was siddartha because theres just so many sounds playing together to be able to hear anything specific. Also i think that jerry may have used a synthesizer of some kind to play siddartha, although ive never heard of him using one it is still possible as not much is known about that album as it was only a short lived project by jerry and his other bandmates that he wrote over a period of 4 months. Ive worked awhile on 31/32 and pretty much most of them. My goal was to tab these songs out as accurately as possible and post them online for everyone to have access to because the thing is that there is alot of tabs out there but they are mostly crap and incomplete, i currently have tabs written down that arent on the internet so i need help figuring out how to type the tabs out correctly, maybe you could give me some advice on that. Sorry for long reply but its all worth saying.

hey there, that was a lot of writting! lol
I actually live in Delaware! and one time I was close to move to Seattle for a job with amazon but we ended up moving to delaware from Nevada.
I have covered some of the songs you mention, God Am and 31/32, check them out, tabs and all.
I grew up in the 80s and 90s so the 90s is my fav kind of music, imagine Lithium SXM radio, thats my head every day lol.
I enjoy putting my tabs together but im by no means an expert and I use a very simple website (guitartabcreator) to put them together, i can see tons of people on youtube that do better tabs than mine. My whole point though is to combine the tabs with my video and ability to recreate the entire song track by track or to at least eliminate the original guitar track to let my playing be clear and distinguishable. I started the whole channel but I couldnt find the cover videos I wanted, straight to the point, no talk, no playing over loud original tracks (that cover your flaws) and with tabs on the screen. I hate these long winded videos that are mostly targeting new players and also centering on the hosts personality (egomaniacs that love to hear themselves talk). I purposefully try to remove myself from all the videos I do, i want the music to be front and center. Its all about Cantrell, im just a messenger
