How did the install go? Only hard part is the trace cuts and via soldering. I recommend not using a cutting motion for the trace cuts. Just use the tip of an Xacto knife and twist it to "drill" through the trace. Much safer. Also the best way to scrape the solder mask from the vias is with the blade tip whilst under magnification otherwise it's difficult to see how well it's been removed. You can also put the wire down the via for a more reliable connection, but some board revisions require 30awg instead of the 28awg wire that is supplied.
Consoles Unleashed It actually went great. You're absolutely right about the difficulties. I ended up doing exactly what you recommended without realizing you replied to my post. Thanks for the very helpful video!!!!!
@@ConsolesUnleashed Thanks I will do. Just wondering, do I also need to get the mod chip in order to get NTSC games running at correct colour and frame rate or does PSIO take care of that for me?
@@KandyMan90 Not needed. PS1 plays NTSC games at 60Hz and full screen because it's coded in the game images. You will only get colour at 60Hz with an RGB cable though. But that's recommended anyway because it looks much better than composite or RF. RetroGamingCables are good for RGB scart cables.
@@ConsolesUnleashed Thanks that really helps. I have a pound HDMI cable on the way, just hoping PSIO ships soon, I'm in the "Assembled and getting ready to ship" group
2 questions. 1st, Is this service still available on your website? 2nd, If i send the psio with the ps1, do you install the thing at the back aswell as the switchboard or just the switchboard alone?
Just received mine today. Hopefully installing it tonight.

Service is still available. Please check my website. I don't supply the PSIO. You will need to buy it from Cybdyn Systems Australia.
