After getting wet at Suluban Beach, our next destination was Uluwatu Temple. It boasts a breathtaking cliffside location, offering panoramic views of the ocean merging with the sky and waves gently caressing the shore. The temple grounds are expansive, allowing you to stroll from one side to the other. However, be cautious as the area is home to numerous mischievous monkeys who are adept at pilfering anything from hats to sunglasses. We unfortunately lost a pair of sunglasses to these nimble thieves. Uluwatu Temple is renowned for its stunning sunset vistas and the captivating Kecak dance, which narrates the Ramayana epic. It's worth noting that the temple can get quite crowded during the performance, so if you prefer a more serene experience, you may want to consider skipping the Kecak dance here and exploring less crowded venues across Bali where the dance is also performed in various temples.
