How is the insurance aspect of this deal handled? Normally, the lender requires the borrower's name to be the primary on the insurance, whereas the title company requires the title holder's name to be the primary on the insurance. I've heard changing the insurance out of the borrower's name could trigger a Due on Sale.
How did y'all handle this part of the transaction?
You definitely have to be careful which is why we were happy to have experienced mentors this first time around. 😅 ours is written with the buyer as the primary, seller and mortgage company are listed as additional insured.
