I have to say I am a huge fan of Hawaii-five-0 and just love it! I wish it was still on! I am a huge Scott Can fan and watch all of his work. An amazing talent! Scott does a show/movie/play, I would see it!
I want to sympathize, yet a 10 year gig in a leading role on one of the most popular and successful franchises in history is pretty much the wet dream of every aspiring actor on the planet. It's an annual budget you can count on, a lucrative contract worth millions each year, a character everyone enjoys, a location with an environment most people escape to for their vacations, a stable family life without having to move for each new job, etc. Not to mention the residuals he'll enjoy for the rest of his life that will probably end up paying him more than he earned while on the show.
Well, he didn't ask for you symathize you do so. Just so you know you're not the one infront of the camara. He is and you're just a poor clown who knows nothing about the day and the life of being an actor.
it's a double edge sword. yes, after doing a show for many years it becomes repetitive if they are not progressing with the character's arch. Having said that...a lot of actors will never get the chance to experience being on a successful T.V. show that can last for a decade. I always felt way when Michael left Smallville. It has nothing to do with his talent to not be able to land on another hit show...its just the nature of the business and the reality of it. it can't be an easy decision to make and walk away from.
I am at the moment re watching Hawaii Five 0, I am at season 4 and go 6 more seasons to go. Love Steve and Danno banter. Alex O'Loughlin is the first reason why I started watching the show and still enjoying it.
There's a reason why most successful actors start their own production companies...it's to find and develop properties that Hollywood might not otherwise have thought of them for. Gotta be proactive...you can't sit around waiting for someone to challenge you, you have to do it yourself...
Hawaii five - 0 is the greatest crime/cop series I have ever watched. Although the series wasn't the same after Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park left, it had the perfect ending and not one episode is bad. Im still questioning and trying to find an answer as to why Kim and Park left the series so frustrated - i get that they were underpaid (i dont know by how much) but I still think it was worth it - making friends and interacting with fans is priceless tbh.

Ya but the truth is actors who go to TV really don't have a huge range. THere are exceptions but you don't really think of TV actors as "exceptional". They're usually good looking people who can read lines well enough. In reality they should bank and invest as much as they can, and use the money to produce or create their own projects. I'm sure all the other Actors (who make $15k to $30k a year) feel really bad for Scott that he got trapped in his 10 year job with a starting salary of $500k a year and annual raises to about $5 millions per for the last 2 years. Because it's so hard when you can't express yourself as an artist.

To me it’s pitiful when an actor complains like this. How about the average person who does the same job day in and day out for 30 plus years. Maybe you should be more grateful that your job is a high paying entertainment job and appreciate what you have
What are you talking about? He wasn’t being ungrateful, he had a couple gripes but overall he sounded happy about his experience. You people just want to bitch.
They wanted to be paid as much as Scott and Alex who were the main characters, it's why the audience watched the show, every episode revolved around them. Alex even did his own stunts. All actors put in great work, but don't be asking to be paid as much as the lead, come on.
Scott Caan, the little guy who desperately tries to act tough in Hawaii Five-0. This show is embarrassing because of it's ludicrous ultimate in `cheesey' acting, especially from Scott Caan. Watching this guy trying to play a tough guy is cringing. Although, it amusing to see little Danny getting off with a chic that he has to look up to. It's like watching a hot babe wrestling with a puppy. It's such a shame his dad, James Caan didn't sit him down one day and advise him NOT to go into acting, or in little Scott's case, overacting.

Ofc it's subjective but the fact that I watched the show for that relationshio between and Steve and Danny it's funny😂
@@hades8831It was "funny" the first 2 or 3 seasons. Really lame after that.
@@timweaver7826 Your opinion, we have different opinions about the meaning of lame. The show went along with it because it had fans too
10 years of cashing huge checks living in Hawaii poor guy…..being on a show for 10 years does not mean uve shown everyone all ur acting abilities people transform people
To me it’s pitiful when an actor complains like this.
Nice. Could of been better if equality pay was given for your Asian partners. But of course over the decade. It was nice to take the whole check.
Maybe his Asian partners weren’t as good. Plus, he didn’t have anything to do with their pay.
They wanted to be paid as much as Scott and Alex who were the main characters, it's why the audience watched the show, every episode revolved around them. Alex even did his own stunts. All actors put in great work, but don't be asking to be paid as much as the lead, come on.

You are talking like he decided that... It happens everywhere, the most popular actors are paid the most
He's so full of himself. He doesn't realize that he's not a top tier actor.
*Networks or film companies make decisions based on money. And pay according to who theyvthink brings in the most money. I doubt it was racism. Just cheapism.*
🙄🙄🙄
We saw you drag down the last season of Entourage. You don’t have much in your bag of tricks.
He’s 5’4”. He’s got no highs…..
I really didn’t like that character and stopped watching the show after a couple seasons.
I always wondered why such a bad actor was on tv, ahh his dad is famous
He stinks. he ain't half the actor his father was
Yo, let's be real, Bryan Cranston is dog sh!t in every except "Breaking Bad".
NOPE
Please tell me you're kidding lol
Me when I lie
Malcolm in the middle
U Need to see infiltrator!
Poor Scott , lol, talk about spoiled
Good to see Scott again, after Hawaii ended. Watch because of him.
Can't warm to the rest of the cast. Quirky.
