@@rakeshkotturi7304 it was white pine. I would recommend to try Willow tree. Fresh or dry - it easy to work material.

Reason I don't use vise - carving is to small. For bigger projects I am always use it. 😊.

Yes it's 4x4 white pine. Never treated. It came as a packaging lumber with shipment. It's 11" tall. Thank you.

This is a 3/4" gouge. I made it from the saw blade. The handle is very small to be able for me to grab it firmly. Later on, ill make a video about how to make your own gouges

No. This is white pine. I learn to carve any wood. Try willow. It's very soft wood and grow averywhere
