Hey Scott thanks for making this MOTU line a reality. I've been in your corner since day one. You'v received a lot of flack in the past that you didnt deserve. I appreciate all of the work you did as brand manager.
@@spectorcreative1872 That's a pity, given everything they have lined up for MOTU in the next couple of years! It would have been the ideal time to hire you back.
It is weird how I never had Beastman as a child (or Mer-Man) and I never had feelings about either of them. But they did make GREAT Classics figures. Thanks for watching and the comment.
These videos are great Scott. Always wondered why Beastman was the second figure released and not Skeletor. Appreciate the hard work you put into this line.
It was a very interesting toy line to run. Glad to have the medium to tell some stories. Any help spreading the word about the channel is most appreciated!
Beastman always reminded me of the Klingons from Star Trek the Motion Picture (my FAV trek film, by the way), and wondered if Beastman was based on those guys.
"The last thing you want to do when you start a brand line is piss off your audience!" I wish whoever's at Mattel overseeing Dino-Riders now had your dedication and sense. After 30 years of my favorite toyline's being dead, new product is finally released, only for whoever's running it to allow number of glaring errors through. Really doesn't instill much confidence in the line when they can't even spell "Tyrannosaurus" correctly.
So if you felt good about getting to six characters, how do you feel about getting to 300 characters and heading what can be considered one of the g o.a.t. action figure lines?
Scott, I absolutely love what you're doing but please buy a proper mic. Your narration audio is coming in way too hot and red lining brother. This info is priceless so these vids should stand the test of time. I'd hate for low production value to taint that.
Not to say Scott is in any way egotistical, but I think a really fun (and expensive) drinking game would be to take a shot of your beverage of choice every time toyguru says the word 'I'. Remember kids, there's no 'I' in 'TEAM'.
Well he did like to pat himself on the back but that's only because no one else was doing it. I think he deserved it 👋 he put alot of work into this MOTUC is one of the greatest action figure toy lines I ever seen and collected. Thank you Toy Guru
Some people looooove split critics in anyone in internet hmm ! If is not for this guy, Motuc will not exist, not more of 200 figures, Castle Grayskull, veihucles in a 6" line, a site that shipping to all over the world ... There is nothing wrong in give credits to who really deserves, and Scott many times thanks the 4Horseman for example ...
The reality is that Toy Guru really drove this. He does take the time to name the people who supported, but sometimes, circumstances are what they are... And there is one person carrying the torch and others do work because they get a paycheck.

Thank you much! And if I can ask back, any help spreading the word about this channel is most appreciated!
I’ve always appreciated your hard work on the MOTUC line Scott. Mattel needs you back!
I did contact them late last year to see if I can help out. They were very excited to talk but then stopped returning my calls.

Now if only more companies could follow the 'don't piss customers off' idea. Another great & informative video sir!
Oh but that would mean we would get better toys? Why would... oh.
Beast Man is one of my all time favorites. I remember when i got him. What a great figure. I adore everything Classics. For Eternia!

Love the insight you're sharing into everything that was going on behind the curtain with MOTUC!
Well thank you. Glad you enjoy the series.
One of my favorite sculpts in the entire line (or even just among action figures in general. It just looks so detailed and amazing.
For such an early fig he really stands out
@@spectorcreative1872 Truthfully, I don't think you could have come up with a better mission statement figure for what the line could be.
These videos are great Scott. Always wondered why Beastman was the second figure released and not Skeletor. Appreciate the hard work you put into this line.
Thanks so much! Yup. He was part of a 2 pack that was split up
Very cool background on the research. Keep up the great work - you are now becoming the MOTUC historian!
It was a very interesting toy line to run. Glad to have the medium to tell some stories. Any help spreading the word about the channel is most appreciated!
I would gladly watch a video for every character you made
Well good because we are going to do em all!
Neat trick, searching by creators!
Yeah, I always wondered why others didn't try that!
I would have loved to have read all that research material.
I wish we could publish it
Beastman always reminded me of the Klingons from Star Trek the Motion Picture (my FAV trek film, by the way), and wondered if Beastman was based on those guys.
If anything, their was a Mattel Beastman in the Flash Gordon line.
I initially learned about motuc from the 2008 sdcc. Hated the motu 200x line. I’m glad it was a success as I ordered 2 subscriptions/ each year.
Well thanks for supporting the line! And the channel. Hopefully much more content to come. Please do help spread the word and share the videos!
What you think of the masters of the universe mega construx line?
It is very cool and I hope it gets a long life

Like I won the lottery
You’re a fellow gaucho? What year? Did you major in film studies?
I majored in both Film Studies and Communications (double), I graduated in 2001.
@@spectorcreative1872 2010, over here. Joe Palladino is retiring this coming year, I think.
Here I am trying to say “Rqaaaazzzz”
ha!
So, no truth to the internet claiming the motu bible says his name is Biff Beastman, he's from earth, and was He-Man's mothers co-pilot?
Oh not at all, there is an early story saying exactly this! We just chose not to use it, but see the Evil Lyn video for more!

That would make us all wasted very quick
