Cheers I was really unmotivated to do it tbh but was way easier now rather than later

I wish I did that oil pump mod as I build my NA-T. Interested to see your oil pressure numbers! I see 110-120 PSI on cold start, very careful not to rev it too much until it's warm. It's made it a year so far.
Maybe it's more important on drift builds where you're spending a ton of time at red line. Also when people rev like 8k+
Also a really big fan of that turbo oil feed location. Super clean

Thanks I did actually start it yesterday was siting around 105-110 cold but was a 10w50 as that's what I used to run my 7m on and had it around will probably go thinner not sure how hot these things get oil when you track them

How has the oil pump held up so far with that mod?
About to fit my pump tomorrow and am hoping that’s really all that needs to be done 🤞🏻

Yea so far so good no blown out seals. It Does push oil into the catch can. Not sure if that's the aftermarket valve covers, excess pressure or worn block (was an un opened high ish mile ge block)

Hey man do you know if a VVTI GTE oil pump will go on a non VVTI GE block as long as i do the return hole mod?

Yea should be the same as I used. Though I have had alot of people sat since if your not using oil squirters the vvti ge oil pump is the best

I've actually had one in the back of my ute for 6 months haha.
I've read mixed reviews especially when it's mounted far away from the rack so I thought I'd try oem pump first as other than leaks my 7m one was pretty good
