    Makita=For professional and "heavy" every day usage.
    Parkside=It would probably die after one or two months of extreme,heavy usage.
    Makita=Will last long time (many years) under extreme load,every day usage.
    What to buy?

      If that happens you have 5 year guarantee for the tool. Luckily I had 3 Parksides and all of them worked like a charm for years. Battery was a problem though. After 2-3 years batteries were out of production and you either have to replace the cells manually or throw the tool into garbage. Seems to me that battery compatibility problem is solved.

      Now there is a hammer version of this drill, however it is a kind of different, is is much bigger and heavier than the video. I quite like it though. However it does not really do good in drilling holes to brick wall or concrete, so I have a proper hammer drill for those cases. The added weight does not worth for the feature, however the hammer version is built stronger and has higher torque and overall looks like a more heavy duty tool.

    • @rudenko14
      @rudenko14 4 года назад +13

      One of the key points of the slip clutch is to prevent the drill pretty much twisting /braking your wrist when it comes to a sudden stop and you hold the trigger. You should be able to drive most screws with the clutch at highest setting, it should only start slipping when the resistance gets to dangerous level. If the clutch can only handle 20% of the drills torque, it is useless, because it will force you to use drill function and the safety feature is gone. If you ever used a really powerfull tool, you would understand the point of the test, tha makita should be able to drive the screw at least as far as the parkside on clutch. I used a brushless dewalt rated at 70nm that could snap your wrist like a twig no matter how strong your grip was. It will teach you to use the clutch instead of drill mode, or you will hurt yourself time to time, your choice.

      Rajesh left very wrong comment. Brushless motor only reduces energy use to 2/3, does not improve speed or torque. He used right mode, in fact the impact mode should be more efficient, but tool simply gave up. Parkside battery quality is EQUAL to Makita, Parkside use Samsung cells. Both Makita and Parkside battery have load compensation electronics, that regulate battery output (3rd pin). Problem is - for 5Ah, Makita battery cost 50€, where Parkside wants 30€. Black "performance" line from Parkside is not for home use, but the real difference is in warranty - Parkside gives 5 year warranty but only for non-commercial use, Makita gives 3 year warranty but includes commercial use. Green normal Parkside line can really vary, it can be for professional use, but can also be for home use - because green can be built from Güde, Scheppach, Einhell contractors; it depends on how complex is machine, more complex green machine like jigsaws are not fit for professional use, but simple machine like table saw is no different from Makita. But the ergonomics of green machines is worse, which wastes commercial time (=money).

    • @HECKAKYH-ADEKBATEH
      @HECKAKYH-ADEKBATEH 4 года назад

      Ok, I must add real problem of Parkside - it has absolutely no replacement parts. Even Einhell, Scheppach or Güde have replacement parts, but if something like switch breaks on Parkside after 5 year warranty - you can't buy replacement part. This is real big problem.

      Maybe there are a lot of products from Parkside to which is better to stay away, it's not a professional brand but a brand from an hard discount, so having a nice product is a good thing... and, cordless drill from Parkside are excellent products. Much better than Black & Decker, much better than Dexter from Leroy Merlin's, even if they cost the same or more. Parkside did a lot of modifications in the years, and now 12v and 20v drills are SOLID products, expecially this "performance" one.
      It can go head to head with much pricey products, no one will complain of their quality.

    Beware, this video is comparing 2013 used Makita model to 2019 brand new Parkside drill and compares nothing but power, cause even this old drill would win in every other category than sheer power (reliability, ergonomy, battery system, precision, even price cause used model like this one can be found for less than 50 euro, so cheaper than new Parkside). It's so unfair its probably a paid advertisement.

      Greetings. My canal is objective to produce and therefore Parkside won because it is stronger. Just a few individuals to not admit of the 4 half machine have no chance of brushless motor
