One other option to a square 20 foot tube is have your fabricator make a slip in adaptor that you can bury 3-4 foot feet. You can simply drop your pole in that

How would you level your base on a sloping lawn if you used Walter’s portable hole idea?

Mr. Jon, thanks for the information and it does help, to a limited scope. I found the anchors information valuable and placed an order for the Earth Anchors. My concern comes with the Base and Pole. Info: I went with the classic ASAP design, one stage so height is about 16ft.
For my case, the base will be placed on my front yard patio, per se, which is concrete. I don't have any means to secure it to the concrete and the wife unit isn't going to allow me to drive bolts into the concrete. How would I go about adding structural integrity to a scenario like this? I will be using 4 guy wires, so it will help some what. One guy wire will be attached to a pillar connected to the house, so I know that guy wire should be fine. Also, what diameter of the guy wire is recommended or a bare minimum should be used?
With regards to the Pole, during the presentation it is stated that using rigid conduit with pipe threading isn't the best solution and using structurally engineered pipping is best. Though, how would this be accomplished? What type of material be used? What diameter should be use is something like the ASAP design? Since the portal hole is very common with mega trees how is the structurally engineered pipping incorporated into the portal hole? With no additional information on how to incorporate structurally engineered pipping needs to be integrated into existing designs, like the portable hole, or another means offered I am completely clueless. I am not a civil or mechanical engineer, so these concepts/theories are beyond my scope of knowledge.
I am definitely not overconfident as I want to make the mega tree as safe as possible. Even if it top fall over it wouldn't reach the street to cause harm. Unless someone wandered up the porch.

Thanks for the awesome info. I just had my front yard landscape change to fake grass due to the city requirements for water conservation here in LA and my contractor no# rule No Poking on the ground. I was looking for another ways to get my 9 1/2 ft. mega tree up again from Holiday Coro w/ 10ft. rail tubing from Home Depot. I found the self standing mega tree kit from Mattos Designs is this the answer for my fake grass issue ? Just need your input. pls. reply. thank you.
