While this song has moved me like no other song I can remember (I am almost 60), what really takes my breath is the reaction that every music review yt channel has had. I've studied this now for two days, watching probably dozens of reviews and every one is shocked at his natural abilities AND the depth of his lyrical talent. He has created an instant classic by cutting loose and singing from his artistic heart. The vast majority of us feel this disdain for DC and corporate America.

The rich men north of Richmond are the politicians in Washington, D.C. and this is the anthem for everyone who is fed up with the corrupt federal government oppressing and harming the people they are supposed to represent. The world has seen an awakening of sorts post-pandemic after 3 years of government abuse, lies, and propaganda. We've watched the elites impose rules and policies that are quite cruel and impossible to maintain any type of life worth living while they aren't required to live under their own rules and continue to get richer and richer the longer they are there while we bust our asses and sweat over every single cent we spend on food, medicine, gas, and rent/mortgage bills. I cry in frustration every week as I have to ration my food and medicine because I can no longer keep up with inflation since my husband died. We can barely afford to really live in a country that is falling apart around us, our border is wide open for everyone and anyone to enter no matter what their intentions are. The Biden admin does not care what this is doing to the Americans who live in border states until they show up in Martha's Vineyard or Chicago and even then he does nothing. Democrats betray their own citizens including veterans to give money and housing to people who broke the law and are being paid for by the already overburdened taxpayers who can't afford what the illegal immigrants have. This is theft and it is unfair to law-abiding Americans and immigrants who immigrated the legal way. To add insult to injury, the Biden admin created the financial crisis by shutting down American energy and put miners out of work, but they don't care. They do care more about the minors on that island. We struggle while the government sends billions upon billions to Ukraine but only offer $700 to Hawaiians affected by the fire. We can't do better than that for our fellow Americans but our tax dollars have been paying Ukrainian pensioners. This is what America Last looks and feels like. Our government should care more about our interests and well-being instead of other countries. They should be required to live under the same laws they impose upon us. They ban gas stoves for everyone else while they continue to use them. They laugh at Americans who can't afford gas and tell them to get EVs that they can't afford. They are willing to sacrifice our financial outlook as well as saddle future generations of Americans with heavy debt for many years to come. It doesn't matter what your race is, wrong is always wrong no matter who it is being done to. I've seen people, mostly the Left, making fun of Oliver Anthony because he lives in a trailer with a tent over it in Virginia. That man is a fellow American who is struggling hard with addiction and has the guts to put himself out there for the world to see and has more soul and integrity than Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, and AOC than they will ever have. He is real. They are plastic and financed by China, Ukraine, and other countries for political favor and influence. This man is financed by himself. At least his bottom line is honest. His message has resonated with millions across the world who feel the same way. The world knows it does not have to be this bad. It is bad because of bad policies made by bad politicians. This is the eighth day so I guess I am finally coming down (sorry for being a downer). I keep thinking from scripture talk: "Without God, a nation perishes" or something like that. We (our nation) has been without God and so we are witnessing our great nation perish. "It's a damn shame."

I live in a rural town [surrounded by popcorn, soybean fields] and I’m a big country music lover, always have been. I’ve never heard anything so meaningful, anything so powerful or anyone pour their heart and soul out like this man. This video is a blue collar worker (no video production/editing) who shows his real, raw emotions and he’s fed up. He’s done with the bullshit that we all see but no one has the balls to say. He’s dealt with a lot of mental issues in the past and still has to deal with so much pain. Turning down $8M in offers from record labels. He is spittin facts and THIS… THIS is “woke” talk, an actual great awakening. He opens his small town performances (went from singing in front of 20 people to literally thousands) with verses from the Bible and everyone is listening. He’s the exact light that this dark world needs and holds a glimmer of hope. I pray that this changes us in a positive way and let’s us ALL come together as one.
