- This is Pepper! A couple weeks after we bought her she ended up getting very sick and wasn't eating. We took her to the vet and she only weighed .69 of a pound! She was underweight, had respiratory damage, trouble breathing, and was under body temperature. They gave us this high calorie wet food to give her and man she LOVED it!
*UPDATE* This food worked TREMENDOUSLY and she made it through!

Hey everyone! I cannot believe that after 8 years Pepper still has such an amazing group of fans! She spends most of her day lounging in the window, sleeping on mom and dad’s bed, adventuring outside when the weather is nice, and being fed treats daily. After all, this hungry kitten still wants (and loves) food!

Regardless of species, baby animals have a way of crying when distressed that is IMPOSSIBLE for any adult organism in the vicinity to ignore. I remember seeing a baby lambie who was hungry and couldn’t find his mommy, and he started bleating in the most plaintive, pathetic way that was absolutely impossible to ignore. Every adult ewe, human, dog, chicken, cow, horse, what have you came running at top speed, hovering anxiously over the crying baby, trying to discern what it needed, and how to help it, until finally MAMMA came to the rescue. And it’s been my observation that puppies, kittens, birds, bears, lion cubs, and human infants will do the same. That Baby-In-Distress cry is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to ignore!!

Cats are irritated by their whiskers touching the sides of a food bowl; that's why they will drag the food out onto the floor...so feed them in a shallower dish.
