I know this is late in commenting but Sacred Tree and Seven Personalities. Make up the 5 songs he wrote in 2019. (The last measures were Conversations with Martian Children)
This year he is on The Singer 2020, you have to hear the 5 songs he did, YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE, he wrote in a week to uplift everyone in China from the virus and Hua is from Wuhan.
The 5 songs from 2019 were about Depression and accepting people who are having problems.
You are right, there is no right or wrong, Hua wants for every individual to take from his songs whatever they feel . I think you are spot on, the uplifting melody and deep lyrics make an interesting mix and can exist hand in hand. It had an upbeat melody to hide the feelings and a person cannot sleep and at the end plays Conversations to bring the Trilogy together.

You are right, there is so much going on with his performance as usual. His outfit reminds of the Harlequin. So fits the mood of the song. Yes, it takes a few times to view Hua's performance. First you just want to watch and listen to his performance. The second time to listen to his lyrics, the 3rd time put it all together, then rest of the times, enjoy it. I'm looking forward to your reaction on sacred tree, and 7 personalities.
When you were talking about what Hua Hua's costume reminds you of I think you meant Pierrot? You're spot on about them being mimes, because Pierrot is a classic character in pantomimes. Thank you for an honest reaction. It indeed has a lot going on and the first time it is hard to catch all the details and lyrics. So that is why sometimes I like to watch a lyric video first to get the meanings of a song in a foreign language and then watch the performance. It helps with digesting the information. For his Sacred Tree, please watch the far view and then the close view. It really helps with understanding the scale of the song and performance!

Hi! Love when you say.. if it doesnt touch you.. you listen to the wrong music... So true :) But how a performance like Mad House cant touch your soul.. well for me and a lot of people . I was waiting for your reaction.. told myself, when he s ready he will go for it. The rythm is fantastic and the lyrics are pretty deep.. you have to listen to those a couple of times and HuaHua doesnt want to explain his song.. he say that we have our own interpretation and its fine and so true.. Exactly what you say :) For me HuaHua is Music... everything he touch is fantastic and well done.. what a great composer! For the clothes Its a Pierrot (often sitting on a the moon) Thank you very much.. now you need to listen to Sacred Tree and Seven personnalities (its Hua s favorite one).
