I see my comment from 7 years ago when it was the first time I'd heard this song. Now as I listen, I just want to say "awwwe" as in what a sweet song about a kid who was "slow" but had friends. Not exactly the kind of song you expect out of the band who sings Livin' on a prayer. So opposite, both so good.

Joey seems like a friend of mine, he is a little silly and loves to tell story all the time, he is a liar but we talked all night long. Now he lost her mother and he is married and has a wonderful daughter. I like him so much, he is a great friend.
This dude has come such a long way with his live vocal performances...I saw the slippery tour in '86 and was a bit let down...i know he had vocal chord issues then...but now he's just amazing!
