Wonderful bullion tendril video. It turned out first try. The Bullion Circle video is wonderful and close-up. I've had a wool floral that I can finally finish. These are quick with big impact. Thank you.
I didn’t know this had a name. I’ve been experimenting and did these funky circles and then you popped up! 😂 Hand stitching has been my therapy since breast cancer and MS showed up in my world and keeping my mind interested in color (I used to paint and do large mixed media pieces along with tearing down or building walls 😂) having something in my lap to create with has helped me heal…which is very different from a cure. 😉 I appreciate how well you share and your exquisite creativity.
Hi! I'm so happy you reached out. That's funny that you were experimenting and making them. I have no idea what they're called, as I've never seen them in a book or online, I started doing them, just like you, by playing around. So Bullion Circles are what I call them! I hear you about having something to create, helping in healing. ❤️💖❤️
Oh my! I have just discovered your channel Araine, I am not very experienced in embroidery but love experimenting , I always use pliers, and thought I was the only clever one! Fabulous tutorials, thank you so much!
These are so cool. I need to make a snail. This may be my answer. Thanks so much. I am left handed also but I noticed you wrap with your left hand and I wrap with my right hand. I interesting. I love your videos
I think we lefties are a bit ambidextrous. I use scissors with my right hand (because I had to!) and I knit as a right handed person does because my mother was right handed and she taught me when I was very young. ❤️💕❤️
@@ArianeZurcher212 yes I agree. I use scissors with my right hand. My dad bought me some left handed scissors years ago and I had to use them right handed. My grama tried to teach me to tat and I couldn't get it. Years later I wanted to try again and all of the instructions were right handed. So I taught myself right handed and when I figured it out I switched it to left handed. We definitely need to learn to adapt
@@gloriagandy9721 hi Gloria - if you click on my channel you will see dozens and dozens of stitch tutorials using all kinds of different threads. Enjoy!
Your vessel is truly beautiful😋! Thank you for sharing your progress on the vessel. I also looked over the videos for the bullion circle. I am so happy you explained this, I want to include the on my latest project
The Bullion Needle sold by Sue Spargo glides through easily because the eye is actually smaller than the shaft. No tool is needed to pull thread through Araine
I actually prefer the Tulip bullion knot needles- I think the eyes are even more slim than the SS needles. The Tulip short fine ones are really smooth. I also find the pliers extremely helpful when doing a ton of wraps.
Thank you for showing your tips & tricks when making bullion circles - I need to do more of these on my projects - they add a lovely texture and are so pretty!
I find the Tulip works better for me and the pliers are absolutely essential when doing difficult threads and many wraps. But if you’ve found you can pull the thread through without using them, by all means. This is only my personal experience. ❤️

No kind of embroidery that requires pliers can be beautiful. It's all about flow.
@@Liz-lr1ch then definitely do not attempt making bullion tendrils 😂😂😂
I would use pliers because of arthritis in my thumb. Not going to cause myself unnecessary pain ! !
