If you are still listening to this talented group, please give it 👍🏼. All the way from USA by way of Nigeria. Wish my dad is still alive to hear this compilations. The horn, the guitar, drums and Franco my Brother....😊
AboubacarSiddikh whoever you are...you are an angel. Sharing music that is not only classic but also brutally pure makes you one a cut above the rest. The instrumentation, vocal chants, the twists and turns in themes of the song Eperdement has always left me bleeding for having lost such a maestro. Franco was nothing but an institution in himself. He was what a leader should be - selfless: holding hands of those beneath him and turning them into legends in their own right. He was nothing short of God sent. MHSRIEP
Great times listening to this and many other Franco hits back then in Masumbi Alego Siaya. Thank you big brother Ben Odhiambo for the great collection you had and made me appreciate!!! Forever in my heart brother
this song brings to me back memories of the 4th All Africa games that were held here in Nairobi.... I vividly remember watching The great Luambo & the Le tout P.O.K jazz performing live at the newly built Moi Int. Sports Complex here in Kasarani Nairobi
Djo Mpoyi.. Eish.. I think Madilu is best male vocalist ever, but in this song, Mpoyi killed his part. Malage's ever crystal clear voice never ceases to amaze - credit to him too
Thanks Aboubacar for the posting these two golden hits. I have been looking for Eperderment for long but couldnt trace it all over You tube. its also great to know its done by Aime Kiwakana. thanks alot and keep posting these goodies though they were not of my generation but cant get enough of them
@@michaelwakabi4531 Wuta Mayi not really. He sang in 90% of all the major TP OK Jazz songs. Aime Kikwakana maybe, but whenever he touched the mike particularly in the early to mid 80s he did wonders. But the Ochestra was big and some stars like Aime remained in the bench for lengthy periods of time
Actually the best of the two songs is Boma ngai naboma yo tobomana. No african will ever rise to the hights Franco and his team rose, never !!! i know that for sure
Guys look at One "Matata ya mwasi na mobali na esilaka te " search for it's meaning and that's the moment you will realise literature of our African states .
Looking for two old Franco sounds "Carolina" and "Bana Ok" with the first sentences going like this: "Carolina, Yambo Carolinaoye, kuya kuya, kuya ku lamy chachachaa and "Bana OK eo, ngai na ko lela, fiesta ya sika na kati ya lipopo". Also a song about Justin Mbomboko, the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic republic of Congo.
Did Franco play Mi-Solo on both of these songs on the album? Compared to other records with Mantuika on mi-solo, the attack on these are much more stronger, especially with Eperdement where the mi-solo part in the sebene is taken from Celina.
+rdc036 Yes he did. Compare to Thierry on the same album: ruclips.net/video/4ue8PnBZZus/видео.html and compare to Franco on Boma Ngai live in 1987 where he was more prominent in the mix and the circumstances were more inspiring: ruclips.net/video/UFYH5R0PKKE/видео.html He played mi-solo on Eperdement too that night (but I didn't post it).

Merveilles du passé ,élément de notre riche patrimoine culturel
Yaah Ngoma za vijana wa 70s to 90s
Those were the best days .
The vocal combination of Madilu, Maladge and Djo Mpoyi is simply out of this world
This album was recored or re-recored in Nairobi in 1986/7 I suspect during the All African games.
Je vous pleur tjr a travers vos chanson djo mpoyi et aime kiwanaka et madilu francophone
Vraiment
Voici une autre merveille de Luambo. Écoutez!!!
aime you touched my heart i was a small boy 1986 live in nairobi
Well organized song, from the beats, voice and the guitars,I can't stop listening to it
Great times listening to this and many other Franco hits back then in Masumbi Alego Siaya. Thank you big brother Ben Odhiambo for the great collection you had and made me appreciate!!! Forever in my heart brother
Enjoying the same music this evening right here in Siaya town...! memories are made of this!

Remind of our youthful days. Untouchable

This is one of the best of Franco and his men. Thank you Aboubacar for your postings.

Djo Mpoyi.. Eish.. I think Madilu is best male vocalist ever, but in this song, Mpoyi killed his part. Malage's ever crystal clear voice never ceases to amaze - credit to him too
This album was recorded in Nairobi in 1986 and remixed later

Tpok just got the best thing ever to have
Mukendi, Pasi ekoteli ngai motema - Eperdement.
TP OK JAZZ had so many talents. I think Aimé Kiwakana was under appreciated.
So true Kiwakana was a great singer, like Malage but too many stars on OK jazz for them to be noticed.
true
There was occasionally an element of gridlock in Ok Jazz. I suspect Wuta Mayi partly because there wasn't enough room for him and Aimed in the band.

Tell them!
At least Aime became a real star under Lutumba.Listen to him doing duet with Josky in 'Soweto'.RIP
Don't have that song Eperdement and never heard it good song.

HOOOOO MON DIEU POURQUOI LA MORT?

@otiipiach72 Yes, the guy was great!

Voici le Zaire...
Mawa..mawa..
si la musique rend immortel voici l’immortel.
A few people know that Franco did backing vocals on this track..
The second title was" Éperdument" No "Eperdement"
What's on the record is the title.
AboubacarSiddikh . Éperdument. I
like and I'm proud to know you can have all of these songs.
Thank you for corrections
@@robertmwangila4287 you welcome.
Who did the lead guitar (solo) here? and who was on the bass?
I have followed closely, I see the solo is Gerry, I bet the bass is Mpudi! Great music indeed. Very entertaining!
@AboubacarSiddikh-- Did Franco play on this version of Boma Ngai? If not, who played the lead guitar?
He did..& you could hear the voice
