Never found words to fittingly describe this therapeutic showstopper that gets better with each listening. Thank you, Franco and your indomitable team of musicians for gifting us with music that will last into eternity. Rest in eternal Heavenly Glory.
) . Merci beaucoup Grand Maître Franco Luambo Makiadi Ya Fuala Oncle Yorgho pour cette Anthologie . Reposez en paix . Musique Intemporelle de génération en génération .
I was born long after his death but I can't forget how I used to admire this music when it was playing in my father's Redio in the morning and am supposed to go to school. I even used to see it better if I leave school so that I would have my own Redio to listen this song and Kimpa Kisangameni, R. I. P. Franco
Franco Liveth R.I.P Luambo . Franco roars through a guitar and voice . I cant stop listening since 1984 while i was growing . A long distance non-stop drive with a reverse play can make a good day in life.
Lead vocalist is none other than Luambo supported by a galaxy of ever admirable companions- Madilu, Aima and Lola Checain. The flow is soothing. Dr. Ogeto International
Yes this is taking me back to 1983, I had just finished A levels, the future was bright, there was optimism in the air and we used to dance to this music with a lot of flair and enthusiasm repeatedly.
Mars 2020

Hey, thank you! Lived in Kin for two years, learned a *little* bit of Lingala and listened to a *lot* of the music. Great to know what's being sung and what it means in a language that I know!
Reminds me back in 1984 when i developed a passion to rhumba music and later to introduce it to my dad in 1986. Since then rhumba has always been my best FRANCO being my number one artist , followed by NYOKA LONGO
Most favorite line is 3:51 ... "Ye alingi kaka kolata, oyo a sika na mogasini ee, Feti nyoso akende alingi kaka ya sika eeh" Hata sijui inamaanisha nini, juu sio lazima nijue... Find me singing along, you'll think I'm the composer
Great music by the King. He is undoubtedly the greatest African Musician. With very little formal education he was able to organize a very big and we'll trained orchestra of musicians. RIP grand master
This beautiful hit song speaks for itself. It will be an insult to comment further. Thanks Aboubacar for sharing this and many other OK Jazz blockbusters.
Corona Virus has locked us in our houses, the government say we should remain in our houses as they fight the world pandemic. It's hard to observe the lockdown; being in the house all day is was really not easy until I remembered Franco can keep me company. I'm now in the house listen to this Man sing. Who played the rhythm guitar in this song, the rhythmist here was just a genius
Le Poete Papa Lutumba Simaro Massiya. He was on the Rhythm. remember, in a major Franco composition leading in the album, while the Master plays his trademark Mi Solo, Papa Lutumba would always be preferred to handle the Rhythm himself.
Just listen to Franco's soothing lead voice! And the back team. And the instruments esp the guitar! One can only marvel! He was a leader and an organizer in his own right.
My love for African musicians form Bana ok, Tp ok jazz, madilu system and Ndombe Opetum will never end. As an African, I'm proud of them. Their music talent have captured the world's imagination in African music.

@Abdallah B. what makes you assume that Michael O. is a Kenyan? There is no doubt that Franco was/is not only a legend but also an icon of African music.
+john omuka - Yes a giant of African music indeed. An extraordinary artiste, in the Congo, in Kenya, in Tanzania, in Nigeria, in the Cameroon, in Ghana. Name the country and Franco touched them all with his music. Didn't know much about him until I started following AboubacarSiddikh. We are all very proud of Franco Luambo Makiadi and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
@@@johnomuka5311 Just because Michael has a name Otieno attached, then to him he is Kenyan, and anything Kenyan makes him want to puke. That is his mentality.
Live goes on

This guy here was a maestro. no one comes close to this, soothing tune.
Even in 2024 he remains the undisputed King of Rumba music!
Never found words to fittingly describe this therapeutic showstopper that gets better with each listening. Thank you, Franco and your indomitable team of musicians for gifting us with music that will last into eternity. Rest in eternal Heavenly Glory.
You must write a book for our prophet Luambo please
❤❤❤
Absolutely true, ever old yet ever new. The guy is simply a legend. Rest in peace Franco Luambo Makiadi 🙏
Jean Marie MVUBU MADEKO lll(j’ai voulu mettre
Franchement!!! Et vous avez tout dit.
Grande artista Luambo Makiadi
Merci beaucoup!👍
I. P. Franco
Stay in school!!
Absolute genius. 30 years since he departed and it sounds like yesterday afternoon!!
Humm was que souvenir
One of the greatest and sweatest hit by the legendary music maestro Franco.
Vous nous manquez beaucoup beaucoup beaucoup
Ça été parmi. Les meilleurs chanson de la période
It will take 100 years to find someone who is like franco
Yes indeed, it will take a whole millennium!
U are right
And that will b the grand maitre reincarnated.
More than that

Just thanks for the translation. Please give the whole. Listening a lone but I feel like in a club.
Hey, thank you! Lived in Kin for two years, learned a *little* bit of Lingala and listened to a *lot* of the music. Great to know what's being sung and what it means in a language that I know!
I like the saxophone.
Mawa!@!!
Super
Franco was truly a musical African Genius. Love his Music.
The guitar is soothing, combined with other instruments its make the song a stress reliever.LONG LIVE TPOK.
i cant comment further.
A bientôt Mon cher FRANCO .
So soulful.
Franco will never die 🎉🎉
Reminds me back in 1984 when i developed a passion to rhumba music and later to introduce it to my dad in 1986. Since then rhumba has always been my best FRANCO being my number one artist , followed by NYOKA LONGO
Most favorite line is 3:51 ...
"Ye alingi kaka kolata, oyo a sika na mogasini ee,
Feti nyoso akende alingi kaka ya sika eeh"
Hata sijui inamaanisha nini, juu sio lazima nijue... Find me singing along, you'll think I'm the composer
Kibugi, this song was and is still in another class. There will never be an African Musician like Franco.
Amazing guitar magic starts at 12:45, see why Franco remains the undisputed King of Rumba music!
The magical change in tempo
Absolutely 💯 what a climax!so incredible.
You may be gone but your music Franco is just marvelous!!!
Great music by the King. He is undoubtedly the greatest African Musician. With very little formal education he was able to organize a very big and we'll trained orchestra of musicians. RIP grand master
Though I do not speak lingala, Luambo will remain my favourite singer. His songs are simply the best
Franco Otoyo, the wizard, magician and professor of music. This music reminds me of my A levels days where francos music was the rave.
Grand Maître Franco, Cher Père, repose en paix éternellement
Franco king of kings..
Mama na ye abota na mibali libwa ...... Mwana na mwana Tata
Ya solo? La rivarite? Surely?
This beautiful hit song speaks for itself. It will be an insult to comment further. Thanks Aboubacar for sharing this and many other OK Jazz blockbusters.
Woah,my ever best.Anyway all François songs are liiiit!love you to bits my maestro.
Wonderful
Exceptionally undisputed king of rumba
Mbongo akende na mikelemba. Noma!. Franco was khrumba guru. no questions about.
It does not matter. Once the tune was arranged, any
of the band members could play it.
Gege Mangaya I bet
Le Poete Papa Lutumba Simaro Massiya. He was on the Rhythm. remember, in a major Franco composition leading in the album, while the Master plays his trademark Mi Solo, Papa Lutumba would always be preferred to handle the Rhythm himself.
Rumba music is a good therapy for the olds.
Who's listening to this soothing and completely mesmerizing song now on October 2021? He is a true Legend of African music.
2024 and for ever on❤❤❤
Just listen to Franco's soothing lead voice! And the back team. And the instruments esp the guitar! One can only marvel! He was a leader and an organizer in his own right.
Just on its own class bro. This man was a music genius! So passionate about what he did
Mayoo!Mayoo!Am finished, am dead. Ooh Franco Otoyo wuo Zaire, where is death?I want to fight it for taking Franco from us3.What a music. RIP LEGEND.
This music is nostalgic because I remember my youth hood. I was in firm two,in 1983 when when I first hard this LP in a certain wedding.
My love for African musicians form Bana ok, Tp ok jazz, madilu system and Ndombe Opetum will never end. As an African, I'm proud of them. Their music talent have captured the world's imagination in African music.
the Franco sweet voice will remain in our hears for many decades
Madilu system isn't noise j
FOREVER
This guy was something different. They say Dr. Nico was great and I say Franco was born with a guitar in his hands
Rumba music takes me far . Taking lingala classes . Keep shining African Legends . Franco

Wuuuuhi....that rhythm guitar.... so sweet.
Whenever I come across DRC music, I recall the entire Orchestra. Fraco, Madilu, Ndombe, Simaro, Nyboma of bana ok, Mpondo Decca, Nyoka longo & Zaiko langa langa squad, etc etc all across the entire republic! Even our overseas heroes in France and so on ..I can't name all of you here because this list is endless but may God bless you wherever you are for doing Africa proud. Yondo Sister, Mbilia Bel..hongera.
King of congolese Rumba

Real music, sweet memories.
This man had the ability to compose songs for all ages.
Nostalgic, Just Nostalgic.....Luambo you are the Greatest.
Bakulundu music which will never be forgotten for years.
Meilleur chanson du moment
Franco!!! Franco!!! Remember these vibrations from Zimbabwe ...when DRC was Zaire!!
The songs makes me to shed tears ....there is life after death
why brother

Mon best !
Franco is the father of Africa music
FATHER OF CONGO MUSIC AND NOT AFRICA! MAY BE KENYA BUT NOT TANZANIA
@@@johnomuka5311
Just because Michael has a name Otieno attached, then to him he is Kenyan, and anything Kenyan makes him want to puke. That is his mentality.
Music at its best. Rest in Peace the Grand Master of Zairean/Congolese Music.
Those guitar works and horns are kiling....#sentiment
