Discipline drives superior portfolio results by helping investors stay focused on their long-term goals and avoid making emotional decisions. Disciplined investors have a plan and stick to it, even when the market is volatile. They don't panic sell when stocks go down, and they don't chase after hot stocks.
As a result, disciplined investors tend to outperform the market over the long term.
