Tom Nook became my favourite AC character the moment he gave the PC a house in Wild World. The Wild World PC was foolish enough to move to a new town without any plan or place to stay at and Nook helped out by giving them a house with a loan that doesn't have neither a deadline or interest. Without him the PC would've been sleeping under a tree or something.
