I thrifted a few good quality men's shirt and was looking for ideas to up cycle them. I went through at least 15 videos, this is the one for me! I love A-line skirt /dresses. The only concern I have is that the dress might be too short for me as I am 5'4" and don't like skirt too short. I am thinking to add a ruffle on the bottom, but then it breaks the A-lines. Any ideas to add length without changing the A-line shape?
Great question. You could try adding a strip of fabric at the waist. I'm thinking of doing a video about that soon. Also, it helps to start out with the biggest shirt you can find. Sometimes I an able to thrift shirts that are 4x large. They almost go to the floor on me! I have a stash of those but I don't want to make videos with them because I think it might be hard for other people to find them. But definitely I recommend starting with the biggest shirt you can find.
@@RefashioningWithRachel to add fabric at the waist sounds like a great idea! It will intentional. I look forward to your video for that! I will look out for the largest shirts for sure. Thank you so much!
Would it be possible to place a zipper between the top and the bottom of the dress so it becomes a convertible dress/crop top? It would make it casual though I suppose
So cute and cool! Would love to wear that over a pair of narrow leg slacks with heels. 😻 Thank you!
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked the video. Please share a pic if you do this project!
Thank you this is awesome , I am now off to find a thrifted shirt
Fantastic!

Hmmm. I like that idea. Maybe I will try to do something like that soon. Thank you for the idea!
Klasse Idee
Thank you!
Hi very cute but how tall are you? I’m 5 ft 2 and felt that a men’s 2 XL was a bit short for me
I'm 5'3. This men's shirt was particularly long. I always look for the long ones when I'm thrifting and sometimes get lucky.
Nifty thrifty 🎉😅
