- Before we get started, thank you to the Matchbox team for finishing the Real Working Rig line for 2022. I was definitely worried with all the peg warmers laying around. This final mix has 5 models with 3 re-released deco's, one brand new deco and one brand new casting. That's right, a brand new casting for the Real Working Rigs line....
Awesome set 😉👍. I really liked the tractor 👏😍, its the first time I see it and the western star. The dump truck is cool, but I do wish the third axle was functional. Thanks for sharing 😉👍
Nice showcase of the final mix of Matchbox Working Rigs! I actually have gotten the International Durastar Flatbed Tow Truck out of a unique police 5-pack along with a purple Dodge Challenger, a police chopper, and the retooled showroom model of the Ford Police Interceptor. I got it from Ebay roughly two years ago.
Looking forward to 2023 and getting the wrecker.
I agree they need to bring back the roll off truck in the real working rigs and when it comes new tooling for the real working rigs line they should include a front end loader with a log grabber attachment or maybe a grapple skidder
That would work and it wouldn't have to be licensed so that way it would keep the cost down.
I personally don't have any issues with this mix, however I do want to see a RWR Poop King! No, seriously LOL

The western star should have been a freight flat bed. Maybe integrate rubber straps for pipes and boxes.
I think that would have been WAY better than the dump truck.
That’s a good idea and maybe one of those bright red three wheeled forklifts you see on the back of flat bed trucks sometimes

I agree I the lasting thing we need was another dump truck for the real work rigs besides we already have many of the work star dump truck with no new dechoes and then we get another dump truck with no differences in the play value. What we could use in the real working rigs is a toro groundsmaster 5910 riding mower
I think they did the dump truck because it was cheap. Not many moving parts...
Seems like Matchbox is running out of ideas for working rigs, kinda like hot wheels with the car culture line. I wish they do other trucks that we don't have in the line like a concrete pump truck for exemple, or a tanker truck with movable fuel hoses, a container truck with exchangables parts, a tower-ladder style fire truck, a railway maintnance truck.
The list goes on and on but I would at least be happy to see some of the castings they haven't used in forever return. Like the DAF skip truck, Scania tactical command unit, Bulldozer and most importantly...the Kenworth W900 roll-off truck.
I agree one of the trucks we need in the real working rigs line is a concrete pump truck
