Every time I used to prepare a visual, I was not contented with words like “Dashboards” or “semi-formal Dashboard”. Now I have a term for this - Engagement Display. This video will be my reference point for all my visuals in future. A big thanks for this video.

This was incredibly brilliant. Louise Watson pointed me in your direction and I'm SO glad that she did. This will help me to push back and clarify the inane dashboard requests that leaders keep asking for.

I was brought here by Jared Spool and I was not disappointed! This is great information!

Thank you soooooo much for this amazing presentation.
It's truly one of the most useful things I've heard in a while.
SO glad to find your channel.

This might have been the most important presentation I saw at #Data19

Wow. This is like the Grand Unified Theory of dashboard design.
    Just awesome.
What do the multiple dots denote in your example of the Four Threshold Method? Do they denote status change from previous updates? (Perhaps quarters in this case?)

Multiple dots denote metrics that require attention for multiple reasons. E.g., a metric that's experienced a recent sudden dip (red dot) but is ALSO above the Actionably Good threshold (green dot). There are usually at least eight reasons why any given metric COULD potentially require attention (below internal expectations, below external expectations, sudden change in volatility, etc.).

Can I put that on the cover of my upcoming book? :-)
