He does care for his men, this is best represented in the flashback to the missile transportation mission where he pleaded with Shepard to help his men and ended up getting frustrated with Shepard for not helping his men.

How? I know he is cool but he committed war crimes. Especially killing those civilians while Soap and Ghost tried to escape. What redemption should he have?
@@kaiju-dr5qn just take a look on Reznov when he's strongly agree on killing of surrendering Germans in Berlin (World at War) and in the Arctic (Black Ops), and getting betrayed by Dragovich in the end and then help Mason get out of the USSR with the cost of his life.
That's prolly a redemption arc I'm expecting on Graves

Graves and Shadows fight to cover their asses from their illegal shipment of weapons they lost and committing war crimes by executing civilians. So how can he be redeemed for the war crimes he partakes?
Note: Those German that are surrendering are NAZIs and they only doing because they fear for their life. And they are not civilians.

I was tasked with stopping Hassan and the missiles and they were tasked with doing the same. But plans change and the playbook gets rewritten- we do whatever the client wants done. As for Alejandro and his merry men, they were done and we definitely had the numbers and resources possible to stop Hassan from launching the missile.
All they had to do was leave the rest to us. But no, they wanted a dick measuring contest in the middle of a global crisis so we handled it accordingly.
There’s no time for that shit when the world’s got crazy assholes running amok.
As for them being pros- I have no doubt they’re capable of handling the same missions… We’re just better at it.

Should have thought about that twice when Konni ambushed your Shadows' asses during the missile shipment convoy and also some sneaking into the Shadow Company. If there was a much tighter protection that day, everything would have gone perfectly as intended and we wouldn't have to chase after Hassan's ass and those missiles all around the world(blame directly goes to Shepherd there and also for not legalizing the shipment). Simply put, time saving.
And now the ultimate menace himself Makarov is about to initiate Operation No Russian which will also lead to the third world war.
Other than that would you still let Vaqueros and TF141 go if Alejandro kept his cool that time? Because be advised, 141 would still be on a front somewhere soon, maybe even coincidentally assisting your asses during the operation on the third missile.
Above all, you and the Shadows are just dogs with a bone and follow it anywhere it's thrown at stated by Shepherd. A summary of PMCs. Can't really have that shit in the world of Metal Gear tho.
@@emircanozad914because they do, General Shepard is the leader of T141, if he ordered shadow company to do something that involves 141, then by proxy they must also comply to that order.
I’ve had some friends that looked and acted like Graves minus the evil parts but they were just so unapologetically patriotic it was infectious. 😂

In my opinion, Shepherd betrayed Los Vaqueros and Task Force 141, not Graves. Graves and Shadow Company were following Shepherd's order to the letter when it came to betraying Los Vaqueros and Task Force 141. The cinematic of Graves's return shows that everything Shadow Company does is credited to Shepherd's leadership, "You can thank General Shepherd for that." Nevertheless, he is a good leader to his own soldiers, yet is ruthless and tactical when pursuing to fulfill the missions Shepherd gives him.

Lets be honest graves was the best thing in this modern warfare reboot along with Alex. They could have easily made a new call of duty trilogy with new characters like Graves, Alex, Farha AND Alejandro instead of bringing back the OG Characters

I don’t know if I’d call it a ‘betrayal’, shady, morally gray? Yes, betrayal? No. Shepard was in control of the OP and could make unilateral decisions like dismissing TF141 regardless of his intentions. Taking the base and holding Alejandro’s men is pushing it. But due to the fact that Graves was willing to let TF141 and Alejandro leave without incident suggests that the plan was to screen the men and ascertain who was corrupt and who wasn’t. Who knows maybe they were given the same choice to walk away. Either way Alejandro made a poor decision, which nearly got himself, Soap and Ghost killed.

Interesting theory for MWIII. Grave's character is all about doing good in the most extreme. meaning it doesn't matter if what he does is illegal or emoral he has a genuine hatred for evil so much that he corrupted himself in the process. "For great or good" he thinks what he is doing is a necessary evil.
What if he flips on MWIII meaning becomes good to fight Makarov and realizes mistakes or teams at least again because they have a common enemy which is the Russians and Makarov.
IDK just an interesting take since they kept him alive

No, I’m hoping that task force 141 will help to rescue Farah and Alex because we have trust issues with graves once again and I don’t like it, I feel like MWIII would have the same way as Cold War with multiple endings or we hope that the campaign story could end up being long like BO3 between Makarov and other bad villains return. I’m too nervous of what’s happening in that story man

I think Farah is going down a darker path. She was against invading countries before but is now in a complicated situation where she agrees to invade Al-Marzah with a PMC group that did the same thing the Russians did to her home but in Mexico.

Idk how Soap, Price and the others will react to this, maybe they were all in on the fact Graves was just following orders and all played along in their own way, or they’re still shit-deep pissed at him for taking over the base.

@@Lollz97they are older models, not the helmet based systems we have in modern day, in the older days you’d have to put them on your face as opposed to using an NVG mount in modern day, however some countries/PMC’s still use them today.

Их роль в миссии окончена, радуйтесь и валите домой. Но они убили солдат Грейвса, и, понятное дело, он взьелся на них, приказав "найти и убить". ОТГ решили своевольничать и именно они здесь "плохие парни". Да, Грейвс задержал отряд Алехандро, но разве он должен был из-за этого кидаться с кулаками? Грейвс справедливо стукнул его по голове и повязал, хотя у них у всех была возможность просто уйти и дальше жаловаться правительству или еще кому-то, но не блять решать самим. Они никто и звать их никак, пока им не отдадут приказ, так ведь работают в спецназе, верно?

I do like Graves as a character but I feel the story of MWII was too soft, safe and predictable. Nowhere near as gritty and gruesome as MW19 and no real meaningful story based on a true conflict. MWII describes Grave's actions as Tyranny that won't stand but MW19 would have made you question if what they're doing is right or wrong while working alongside him. What happened to "We get dirty and the world stays clean"?
Graves was such an amazing character but sadly put into such a dogshit game. Even mw2019 was better
